Constantine Eliades is just Constantine Eliades

Well, well, well stranger. As I see, you are enough patient with me. That's good. I hope that I will be able to make you stay as long it might take to learn more about me, about my country Greece and about whatever interests me.
So, let's start with the easy things. As you already know, my name is Constantine (in Greek it's Konstantinos). It's among the common Greek names, and it's also a kind of historical name. Konstantinos was the name of the first Emperor of the Byzantine Empire, St. Constantine ot Constantine the Great, and the last Emperor of the Byzantine Empire Konstantinos Paleologos B', it was the name of the last Greek King Constantine the B', it was the name of our recent President of the Hellenic Democracy, Konstantinos Stefanopoulos, and it was also the name of our former President and for years Prime Minister of Greece, Konstantinos Karamanlis. Through the years, many Presidents (e.g. Konstantinos Tsatsos) and Prime Ministers (Konstantinos Mitsotakis) had the name Konstantinos.

I am 31 years old, and I was born on September 25th, 1966, in Thessaloniki. Thessaloniki was The Cultural Capital of Europe for 1997. I graduated in 1984 from an American high school, "Anatolia College", here in Thessaloniki. Later I studied for 2 years in a state technical college and I took my diploma in Laboratory Chemistry and in Mineralogy. In 1996, I graduated from the Technological Educational Institution of Thessaloniki. I have a BSc in Food Technology.

Some additional things about me

While you entered my main Home Page, you saw some of the things that I like. Well, as a human being who cares about living every moment of his life, there are many more things that I like.

I like, or to be honest with you, I LOVE every kind of animal. I used to have animals in the house. Throught he times I had a dog, a cat, a parrot, some fishes, a couple of sea turtles (they weren't caretta caretta), a hamster and lately an inguana. One of my dreams is to have an aquarium with sharks (I love them as species, and that was the reason to picp up as a subject of my final project prior to graduation, the «Chemical composition and conservation ability of chondrichthyes. Chemical and biochemical changes of chondrichthyes during frozen storage»), and build something like a modern Edem's Garden. Animals living in their own natural environment.

I love reading and writing. A few years ago, I was writing poems and some novels, but day in day out, I got a lack of inspiration. Hehehehe. But, I really think of publishing a collection with some poems I wrote many years ago. One of my passions, is collecting phonecards, stamps, coins and wine labels. I believe, that through many simple things that come from another country, another civilization, it helps you a lot to understand, up to a point, the culture of these people. Besides that, you can see some foreign places, through the phonecards and the stamps, places that it's so hard to be there sometimes, for many reasons.

Maybe that's why I love cooking, especially, traditional foods around the world. I think that cooking is an expression or creativity, something that really helps you to set your imagination free, at least for a couple of years. Besides that, love comes from the stomach to the heart. But, till now, noone complained for stomachaches (of course I paid him for not making any complaints, hehehehehe).

As you understood, I like good food, and certainly it's a kind of torture sharing a wonderful dinner with yourself. I like the good company, and especially the good women company. I could say that I am convenient as a person. I ask a few things from anyone who is by my side. I cannot stand lies, I prefer to tell me the truth and being hurt, than let me living in a "false" paradise. Mostly, I want the people around me to be just the way they are. Maybe, because I am just me, I expect the same from anyone else. I like them to be sensitive, honest, appreciating the good sense of humor (Oh God I LOVE humor), being responsible, ambitious and adaptable.

As you see, I ask for such bare things, and maybe that's why I'm still single.

If anything comes up, just feel free to Constantine Eliades. Every comment is welcome.
