Obesity is a life-long disease and surgery is just a tool you have been given to manage this problem. Follow the instructions given to you by the surgeons on the use of this tool. Support Groups enhance and maintain your competence in using this wonderful gift you have received. Participation in Support Group Meetings has been shown to enhance weight loss and weight loss maintenance.
There are free Support Group Meetings run by the Center at various locations and it is your responsibility to participate in one of these groups. Most obesity surgeons have Support Group for their patients and we are sure that you will be welcome at their Support Group Meetings if you can not attend one affiliated with our Center.
