The Miracle House
"In the heat of the day and through the dust and smoke,
they come all the way to the miracle house.
carrying the ill the sick and the child, but most of all, the burden of doubt.
for once and for all can this be settled, if only we could be in their shoes.
not any day anytime or anywhere, but right at this moment with the warmth and acceptance
for that is indeed the miracle of cure."

Over the Years from Father to Son

"Over the years and the decades gone by, I watched and cherished as you grew to a man from a child.
Now that you are big and strong on your own, you won’t want me anymore to drag you along.
You are in charge of your self and steering the ship, along the rout to which the sails have been set,
When the winds are strong, and blowing in unison, it’s time to fulfill your life’s ambitions"

"To change the sails that have already been set, if needed for the good,   don’t hesitate.
For the rout you have planned may have to be changed, as life’s all dreams are never always made.
But should the day come, when the winds have died down, and doubt as to whether to up the sails or down.
Don’t hesitate to call on the one, who has always been there unnoticed                     my son.
For he is the one though now feeble and old, a long time ago, did set the sails to your goal"

The Life I lead

In the pouring rain I started my journey, to do what I have to,                              do every day,
The raindrops so large and beating on me, sometimes they hurt on my                naked body.
I waded through the earth, which had turned into mud, as the rain water made a puddle of the world,
The journey so slow as I dragged my aching legs, trying to keep my head above, the rising flood.

Why is it that I have to go so fast, it’ not the end of the world, as told in the story of the past,
Is everyone so cruel as not to see my plight, as I gasp and struggle to breath and hang on to dear life.
I can hardly ever see now most of the time, as the water in my eyes has made me utterly blind,
As the rain stops I sigh with great relief, and hasten my pace, to keep up                  the race.

My joy is short lived, as I see my path clear, the gravel and stone which will cut my flesh dear,
The pain is so great, and blood starts to flow, but the sense of duty is such, I will think of it no more.
I reach the end of the journey and lift up my head, to see the one who brought me, almost to the dead,
For it is truly a dogs life, that one has to lead, when your master has got you, at the end of a leash!

To you from me Hale Bopp

It took you so long to come back to us, for a reason that only you will ever know,

The thousands of years that had gone by, left no one who knew of your radiant glow.

From depths of infinity and through the heavens, over forty five centuries it took you to come,

You are already going back in a speck of a moment, but you made us see how small we have all become.

Now that you are here what do you see , have we changed the world so much to make you sad,

Can you still see the freshness of the green clear sea, or is it now covered with oil and grime.

The stones of the Sphinx , have they changed in colour, and the great river Nile is it still as wide,

The vast greens of Amazon which greeted your eyes, if they are not there today will it make you cry.

The smoke you see are not volcano’s any more, but the smoke from guns and burning earth,

The whale and the tiger they’ll soon be no more, with them will be gone the crux of the earth.

The next time you come what will be left, is only a mystery and anyone’s guess,

But one thing I know is that I won’t be there, so this is goodbye from me I guess.

Millions of galaxies and billions of stars, and trillions of comets light years afar,

You have seen all these on your endless voyage, and you know from them what sets us apart.

They have not changed since the beginning of time, and never they will until they die,

But we are just human and just beginning to see, the reason for the tear in the corner of your eye.

Is something the matter?

The wind feels so cold not like what it was,

the hills are so steep how could one get

across The music is soft how can one ever

hear?  The sun is so dim must be a storm brewing near

The girls look so different are they really the same?

Are these the ones with whom my days were made?

Just look at my friends are they suffering from the plague?

Is something the matter? I mutter to myself.

The office is so different don’t they work any more

The sounds of typing has stopped for all I know

No "good-mornings" or "hellos" from those that I pass

Amnesia looks infectious it is catching very fast

The drivers are impatient they look bored as you cross

The doors of the elevator tries it’s best to catch your butt

What is the big hurry? I ask as I rummage in my purse

The change falls to the ground and the women will curse

Eating is misery as the meat is like rock

Is it what the bull ate or just that the cook isn’t so hot

Water will end in the windpipe every day

My palate has no hole maybe its just the new way

People change their minds it’s not like those days

They tell something today and deny it the next day

Spectacles walk and keys disappear without trace

Something is happening it’s an utter disgrace

Isn’t anyone doing anything about this pathetic state?

Just today they insist that I just ate

To take the bull by the horns it is now time

At four scores and ten I can only but try
