MUNUS Games

The MUNUS games is an annual event held between the medical students of University Malaya(UM) and National University of Singapore(NUS). The objective of the games is to strengthen the friendship and instill the spirit of sportsmanship among the two universities.

For the academic year 1995/1996, the MUNUS games was held in NUS from the 29th November till the 1st December 1995. 12 events were held during the games. They were chess, netball, road relay and ping pong all won by MU, tennis, basketball, swimming, carrom squash, badminton and volleyball all won by NUS and finally football which ended as a draw. Overall NUS beat MU 8 to 5.

47 students from MU participated in the games. The participants from MU were invited to a AIDS Memorial Night and was given discount for the tickets. Most of the participants from MU attended the function as a sign of support for the AIDS victims.
