Chapter Meetings

Here is the meeting schedule for the rest of the year:

Chapter business and educational meetings are held monthly September through June at Eden Medical Center (in the Health Conference Center) in Castro Valley. Meetings are almost always held on the first Wednesday of each month (excluding July and August). The business meetings start at 6 p.m. (all members are welcomed and encouraged to attend!) and the educational programs that award one free contact hour start at 6:15 p.m. The optional dinner that costs $10 and varies monthly starts at 5:30 p.m. You must make advance reservations for the dinner with Kathie Shea at 510-339-2545.

To receive a CE certificate that night - please call Kathie Shea at 510-339-2545 and give her your name, address, and nursing license number. If you’ve forgotten to do that, simply bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope with you to the meeting and Kathie will mail a certificate to you. Or you can pick up the certificate at the next meeting.

You have the opportunity to receive 8 free contact hours by attending these chapter educational sessions all year! The December and June meetings are the holiday dinner and the installation of officers dinner so there are no programs with contact hours those months. The educational programs are really good!

All meetings - except June and December - are at Eden Medical Center.

Directions to Eden Medical Center Conference Center, Room A, 20103 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley

From Oakland: Take 580 East. Follow the signs to "Hayward/Stockton." Exit at Strobridge Ave. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Strobridge. Go to the stoplight. Turn right onto Castro Valley Blvd. At the first stoplight (Lake Chabot Road), turn left. Turn left at the first stoplight on Lake Chabot Road for Eden's entrance. Stay over to the left for the conference center.
Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Dublin: Take 680 North or South to the 680/580 interchange. Take 580 West to Castro Valley. Exit at Strobridge Ave. to the right. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right. At the stoplight, turn right onto Castro Valley Blvd. At the first stoplight (Lake Chabot Road), turn left. Turn left at the first stoplight on Lake Chabot Road for Eden's entrance. Stay over to the left for the conference center.
Berkeley, Oakland, Montclair: Take Highway 13 (via Ashby Ave. in Berkeley) south until it merges with 580 East. Follow the directions above.

The conference center is a small building at the right-hand end of the cardiac rehab parking lot. It has a small sign. Once you turn into Eden's entrance, you have the option of turning right or left. Choose left, then straight ahead to the cardiac rehab parking (it'll be on your right).
