By donating a wireless phone you are no longer using to the Wireless Foundation, you are helping the fight against domestic violence by placing a powerful tool in the hands of victims in trouble.
The Wireless Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, so your phone and associated shipping expenses are tax deductible. Forms are available

Approximately 25,000 phones have been donated through the Wireless Foundation's CALL to PROTECT program. Thanks to the support of Motorola and in coordination with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, over 1000 shelters, advocacy organizations, police departments, district attorneys’ offices and other organizations have distributed CALL to PROTECT phones to victims in need. Wireless carriers who are members of the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association donate free emergency airtime to victims. The wireless industry’s goal is to arm every victim of domestic violence with a CALL to PROTECT phone. Phones are pre-programmed for 911 and one additional non-emergency number.
