History:
Spoilers ahead! Spoiler Alert! Do not read ahead if you don't want to know about Nikko yet. This will all be revealed later in my fanfic.
Nikko once lived on the now deserted planet Solaris, during the Silver Millenium. After
Solaris was attacked and destroyed by an unknown enemy, Nikko, being the princess, was saved by her dying mother. Nikko was only two at the time, when she was given to Queen Selenity. So Nikko grew up under the loving care of the court of the Silver Millenium, a sister to Usagi.
One day, as Nikko was coming to see her 'mother', she passed the Formation room.
Stopping by the door, she overheard the general tell his messenger what was happening: Metalia had finally attacked. Her eyes went wide in shock, and she ran out of the castle as fast as she could. Nikko new that Metalia's target was the queen, her adopted mother. Swearing on her life she wouldn't let anything happen to Selenity, she changed into her alter-ego, Sailorsun, and took off in the direction she had heard the general say.
She faced Metalia alone.
In her dying attempt to destroy the dark forces, she used her ultimate power, Sun
Death, which blew a huge crator in the moon. Then Metalia killed her. The light from the explosion brought attention from the public, and the soldiers of the moon were forced to attack.
Selenity never found Nikko, and thus could not send her to Earth to be reborn.
Nikko's starseed instead returned to her home planet. Slowly she grew, and 16 years
passed in solitude on the dark, lonely planet.
Sitting alone in the desolate castle one day, she noticed a light she had never seen
before. There was a soft glow of yellow light coming from the master chamber. She plowed her way through the rubble until she stood in the middle of the empty room. There was a pedestal that seemed untouched by the destruction and time, with a bright glowing light ontop of it. She walked to it, broken glass crunching beneath her feet. As she looked down into the glare, she noticed there seemed to be a little person in it. Suddenly the person opened her eyes, scaring the crap out of Nikko. It was the lost soul of her mother. Her mother, Hikari, restored Nikko her powers. Nikko immediately left to return to her adopted mother.
Arriving on the moon, she cried at the mere devestation. But the silver castle still stood,
worn and broken by time. There she found Queen Selenity, dead, perserved by magic. Ashamed and loathe of herself for letting this happen, she ran from the body, hiding in a dark corner. She cried for days.
One day, as she solemnly watched Earth through a window, she stood, filling with anger.
She swore again, on her life, that she would avenge her mother and father, and her 'mother', because they had all been killed by Metalia. She left for Earth, where she felt the strong sense of familier energy.
Finding that it was too late to destroy Metalia, Nikko began a new life. It wasn't long
after she came, that she happened upon her ne-san one day.....
