The Herrick campus of the Alta Bates Hospital is on Dwight Way and between Shattuck Ave and Milvia St. The Maffley Room is on the "A" lower level.
The easiest public transportation is BART, and the train's destination is "Central Berkeley". Locate Shattuck Ave and walk about 6 blocks south to Dwight Way and turn right and go less than a half block to the hospital.
