Dear Sirs, This web site is excellent to everybody in the world! I'm a Canadian Chinese and was being educated in Canada until I go back to Hong Kong to work. In Asia there are not so much space to build a underground shelter or above ground shelter. In addition people will give you a very strange felling to build such a shelter even in the wild because in generally speaking Asian people are not crisis-awareness enough (except south Korea and may be Taiwan). Without a doubt someone made a big mistake creating nuclear bombs. I was watching a movie called "The Peacemaker" with Dolph Lungdren and Montel Williams and although most of the movie was pure melodrama, there was one line that stuck with me... Montel Williams said... "We have already decided how humanity will end, now it's just a matter of time when we'll do it" It's hard to imagine that anyone would ever unleash such a malcious genie out of it's bottle but here we are on the dawn of the third millenium and we are closer now to a nuclear exchange then even during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The day will come, by accident, intentionally or by terrorists that an atomic bomb will fall on U.S. soil and I don't mean a foreign embassy. I live in Atlanta, about three miles away from Dobbins Air Force base and after extensice research I found out t at it would indeed be a target for ICBM's because of the length of it's runway (over 7000 foot minimum for B-29s to take off). The fear of living in this era, with the shadow of nuclear holocaust looming overhead is enough to drive me mad! I wish there was more that I could do to stop the madness, but alas I am just one person. Today there are more than 40,000 warheads in the world, and I imagine that post Y2K there will be a massive proliferation of them from the former USSR to anti-Ameri an Mid East countries. God knows, maybe there already have been. I guess there is nothing I can do but live my life as best I can, and hope and pray to the Lord that I never look up and see THAT BIG BRIGHT LIGHT in the sky. But if I ever do, I have my .40 caliber Beretta and I won't hesitate for a second to use it. I will not ever consider living in a world that had been irradiated, and I will not fear the reaper. I'm sorry God, that it has come to this. There is no doubt that one day they will use the Nukes. It's inevitable... they weren't built just to sit around and look dangerous. May God have mercy on us all.

A really great site.Its nice to know somebody is thinking about the inevitable.However I think your all being a little optimistic with all this survival stuff.Even if we survive being fryed, we get saturated by radiation (and who would want to get laid wi h a luminous chick,so much for the continuation of the human race).After that we got all the anti-social mutants with guns shooting people.So unless your superman or Clinton your not going to get out of that mess(when it happens).Im not a pessimist but th re is some things you gotta accept.Good site however.Thanx Philip

There was a story i heard about some really freaky kid who wrote away to some Mining co. in south africa where they extract uranium and claimed that he was a prof. in a university. he asked for some uranium and got some !! true story. it was in time mag.
