Hello again!
We've had a surprising number of e-mails over the past year from very nice people asking for post-op news. We tried to answer them, and hope the information was helpful. My husband and I are grateful for the well wishes and compliments you've given.

Well, there's good news and bad news regarding my surgery. The good news, I'm still in great health and 70% of the goal weight came off due to the surgery without a great deal of effort. The bad news is that one year later I still weigh 175 lbs. I became satisfied with my weight and didn't follow through with the exercise and proper diet that would have caused me to drop the final 30 lbs. that I needed.

Someone asked me whether it was worth it to have undergone the surgery for only a 65 lbs weight loss. Again, YES. I still believe that my quality of life is better than it ever would have been without it. I still believe that I have the power to achieve my goal.
But, it will require the exercise, proper diet, and desire to complete the journey.

So, if I had any advice from the viewpoint of 2 year post-op, it would be to keep your eyes on the prize. Don't settle for less than the very best because if you really want it, it's waiting for you!

God bless you always.
