Welcome to my web page devoted to helping others who have Crohn's disease or Colitis.

I have had Ulcerative Colitis for a few years not even knowing I had it. After awhile we realized something was wrong due to the increasing loss of blood. I went to several doctors who thought it was hemorrhoids. Then in July of 1997 after having a Colon Endoscopy to see what it was, they diagnosed me with Ulcerative Colitis. Now almost a year later I am realizing the pain it brings. So I have decided to use the knowledge I have acquired from my experience to help others. Then in late July of 1998 it started to catch up with me I had to be submitted to the hospital with an extremely low hemoglobin and iron counts, so low I felt like I could bearly breathe! It was scary for me being my first time in a hospital, they put me on an IV to give me Cortisone, iron, and blood. They also took blood often to check my hemoglobin count, I didn't like that too much. Man I was so glad to get home and out of that place, it was pretty boring.
