Mansoura, the Queen of the Delta, Is a small town situated on the east bank of Demmitta branch of the Nile river. Approximately 70 miles to the north of Cairo and 25 miles away from the Mediterranean sea.
"Island of Flowers" is its old name. The current name "Mansoura" is an Arabic word that means "The Victorious".
