United Brachial Plexus Network (UBPN) <www.ubpn.org> United Brachial Plexus Network, Inc. This is an excellent site. It hosts a bulletin board along with a number of very good links to other information. As far as online resources go, this one is indispensable.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke <www.ninds.nih.gov> This site is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. It gives a quick overview of Brachial Plexus Birth Injuries. The link address displayed is for NIH main page only. But when you click on it, it will take you to the brachial plexus section of the site -- which has an extended address.

PubMed <www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov> This is another site that falls under the control of NIH. It's an excellent site that allows you to search a database of medical journal abstracts. It may, however, be a difficult site for those who do not understand medical or scientific lingo. The abstracts are written primarly for professionals. Once you get to the site, click on the ENTREZ button. Then, click on PubMed-Literature.

HandWorld Home Page <www.eatonhand.com> This site has a lot of medical related links. It has pages that give you a breakdown on the brachial plexus. Just type brachial plexus in the search site field after clicking on search in the options column.

Wheeles' Textbook of Orthopaedics - <www.medmedia.com> This is basically an online textbook. When you get to the main site, click on the main menu. When you get to the main menu, click on nerves. When you get to the nerves site, click on brachial plexus.

Beth Israel Medical Center - <www.bethisraelny.org > This site is maintained by the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. The center has a brachial plexus clinic. Click on Pediatric Neurosurgery then find brachial plexus inuries in the options menu.

Texas Children's Hospital -< www.bcm.tmc.edu/pednsurg/clinics/brachial.htm > Texas Children's Hospital has a world renowned brachial plexus clinic. This site will give you email addresses and contact people for that clinic. For a very brief overview of the clinic written by John P. Laurent, M.D. (the chief surgeon for the clinic) click on www.bcm.tmc.edu/pednsurg/disorder/brachial.htm .

Evidence.Com - <www.evidence.com > This site is devoted to various legal issues surrounding BPI's. It has some pretty interesting animations regarding "proper" and "improper" delivery procedures.

Maia's Page - <http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/homepage.html> Francine Litz's web page for her daughter, Maia, who had surgery in December of 1998. In this site she shares her experience at Texas Children's Hospital. It also has some pretty interesting photographs.
