Dr. Carroll is native to the Seattle area. He
is a graduate of Interlake High School in
Bellevue and obtained his undergraduate degree
in Mathematics from the University of Washington.
He graduated from the University of Southern

Scholar and completed his internship in Internal Medicine
at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. His
ophthalmology training was at the Louisiana State
University Eye Center in New Orleans. Dr. Carroll began
private practice in 1996 in San Luis Obispo, California
and he returned to the Northwest in 1999 to join Eye
Associates Northwest.
Dr. Carroll is Board Certified by the American Board
of Ophthalmology and is also a Fellow of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology. He belongs to the American
Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons as well as
the King County Medical Society and the Washington
Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
His research presentations and publications have
included topics in excimer laser refractive surgery,
glaucoma, complicated retinal detachments, carotid artery
vascular surgery and growth and development in
primates.
