FGM is term used to describe many different acts. from true female circumcision (cutting off the clitoral hood) to infumibion (near total sealing of the mons/vagina). It is illegal, but still practiced in some places. Most common in Africa, but existent in Europe and the Americas, it is deeply rooted in tradition.

These little girls are forces to submit to surgical alteration of their genitals in the name of conformity and social preference.
