Foreskin Restoration
Methods used

'Foreskin restoration' is a common term used to refer to several methods of applying mild tension to the remaining shaft skin in order to encourage it to grow longer. This new skin eventually will grow long enough to cover the glans and act in a way similar to a foreskin. This new skin (often referred to as a Fauxskin) will protect the glans, and allow it and the remaining inner foreskin remnant to dekaternize but it will not have any of the unique structures of a true foreskin, such as a Frenulum or a frenar band.

There are several methods popular among our members, but most involve either manually pulling to shaft skin forward and taping it in place with athletic tape, taping a very mild elastic material (which is anchored in some way to the body), or taping a light weight (usually under 5 Oz. ) to the skin and allowing gravity to apply the tension desired.

Like many things, too much of a good thing is bad. If too much tension is applied, the shaft skin will form micro-tears, which can be both painful and counter productive. They are counter productive because they heal with scar tissue, which is not flexible and will impede the growth process.

It is important to realize that these men are not stretching the shaft skin out, but rather they are putting it under tension to encourage it to grow. This is the same process as when skin grows if someone gains weight or when a woman becomes pregnant.
