Using Hypnosis for Weight Control

If diets help you but then you gain more than you lost ... then hypnotherapy may be for you.

If for any reason trying to gain weight is beyond your capacity then hypnotherapy can help you find out why you have the need to remain "small".

We schedule 3 sessions to begin with. The first one we will help you to learn stress coping techniques and talk with your body, implanting suggestions to eat a balanced diet, get more exercise, and practice your stress coping techniques.

You will get a tape of your session to practice with in the comfort of your home. The more you practice the better you will be able to do these things on your own. It takes about 30 days to rewrite old habits for new ones.

The second session we will do the therapy to uncover the emotional need for the weight. Some feel the need to keep a little distance from those around them; family, friends, co-workers. Others may feel the world is not a safe place and they need extra padding. There are many more reasons to maintain the weight your body wants. Everyone has their own answers and through hypnotherapy we will help you find those answers. A month later we will do the third session.

After reviewing your reasons for keeping the weight on we will explore other ways to fill those needs. More effective, healthier, ways will allow your body to release the extra weight. Allowing your life to return to a more normal, healthy, balance - both weight wise and emotionally.

In rare instances there may be a need for extra sessions. This may happen in cases of severe trauma from emotional or sexual abuse. We will work together to bring about emotional healing in these cases.
