Research at Hunter College

In this page you will find a list of all the labs in the biology and chemistry departments with links to a brief description of the professor's main field of interest.  Traditionally, the science majors are the ones who end up working in labs either for experience or as honors work.  However, some non-science majors have been known to work in the labs and the willingness of a professor to accept you varies according to your personality and the scientist's need for additional working hands.  Advise on which professor to approach for work is beyond the scope of this site at the moment.  Such information can be obtained by talking to students and instructors from the relevant departments.
The Biology Department labs are located in the 8th and 9th floors of the North building. Chemistry Department labs are in the 13th and 14th floors of the same building. Psychology Department labs are in the 6th floor of HN as well.
