About a few months ago in mid January, I was diagnosed with glaucoma. didn't seem like a big deal, but it is when you are 16 like me. I'm a 16 yr old female with glaucoma. Who ever knew? I have nerve damage in my left eye, I recently took a visual field test and found that I have blind spots and signs of blindness in my eyes. I also have high pressures. If you looked at me, you wouldn't know it, same with anyone else. This is something you don't know about until you get it checked or until it's too late. Thankfully it can be stopped, sadly it cannot be cured. A lot of people tell me to get surgery, but that's not an easy choice, there are a lot of what ifs. I've gone through a few drops now, hoping that the one after the next will work with me. But I have my family, friends, and doctors to thank. I am very glad that they stick up for me. I'd be in a lot of trouble later down the road with out them.

          Signed,
Young and Fortunate
