13 - 15th Feb 2004 - Weekend at Sanctuary Point
Each February we try to go for a weekends R&R at Ben's Aunt's holiday house in Sanctuary Point (near Jervis Bay on the NSW South Coast) and only a couple of hours from Sydney. Normally we go down via Wollongong on the Princes Highway, however this year we decided to be a bit different and go down the Hume Highway, turn off at Mittagong and go through the picturesque Kangaroo Valley. Unfortunately it was very foggy, so we didn't see much. On Sunday morning (after a very lazy Saturday) we went for a quick swim at Plantation Point (at Vincentia) and drove back to Kangaroo Valley for lunch (we had the World's Best Pies!). We took at quick look at Hampden Bridge (an impressive old sandstone bridge) and on our way back to Sydney dropped by Fitzroy Falls for a couple of photos.
