| Our Mission: New Visions is a support group for parents and caregivers of children with neurobiological brain disorders. We seek to provide support, education and understanding to these individuals. Our Goals: 1.To provide support and understanding for parents and caregivers. 2.De-stigmatize these disorders through action, advocacy, and education. 3.Learn to nurture ourselves. 4.Educate ourselves and the community about brain disorders. 5. Encourage community support and involvement. 6.Normalize our lives by education, acceptance, support, and socialization. 7.Evoke a change in the mental health system to provide early intervention, cooperation with families, culturally sensitive care, and home based individualized services. |
