I am a 1987 graduate of the Medical College of Ohio's P.T. program & the University of Toledo. I have worked in many P.T. settings, such as in-patient hospital therapy, nursing homes, home health, but mainly out-patient P.T. Eight years at the University of Michigan was very informative, working with students and faculty from all over the world. I have also worked with an osteopathic doctor for six years who practices as a true osteopath, Dr. Keith Barbour. He has taught me much about facilitating a patient's own healing power.
Athletic participation & coaching has always been a big part of my life. Consequently I have personal experience with most every sports injury known to man! I continue to play & coach volleyball at age 49.
Eight years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery & chemotherapy I experienced chronic pain & discomfort. This would be the beginning of my evolution from a "traditional" P.T. to an alternative/manual therapist. I experienced first hand the wonderfully powerful effects of MFR & CST. These treatment techniques gave me tremendous, immediate relief! I had to learn to help my patients in the same way.
Since that experience eight years ago I have made it my mission to find & learn the most effective treatment techniques for pain relief & improved function.
Since Feb. 1998 I have been running a small private practice out of my home (with the help of Alx-my soul mate & partner). My patients love the friendly, comfortable environment. Call us to make an appointment & become our guest. Decide to take care of yourself & your future health.
