Heaven's Down A Long Dirt Road
Well I've been workin' all day,
now I'm trying to get away from the city.
But ever day's the same, nobody has a name.
It's not real pretty and the the people there that
don't seem to care about your average John or Joe.
So come a quiting time I follow that white line and it
knows where I'm wantin' to go...

Cuz Heaven's down a long dirt road and it's headin' straight into her waitin' arms...she keeps the home
fires bright til I get home at night , then she turns 'em
down real low.

Sittin' on the front porch swing...lookin' at the stars and gaze into each others eyes. We know just where we are on our lil' slice of Heaven down a long dirt road.

When the new mornin' dawns I'm up with the song of the crickets by the creek and before I go I'm s sure she knows when I kiss her on the cheek. I know the time will come , when I won't have to run to the city every day. We'll work the ranch it's true and I'll be here with you .I'll be in Heaven everyday.

Cuz Heaven's down a long dirt roadand it's heading straight into her waitin' arms...she keeps the home fires bright til I get home at night, then she turns 'em down real low.

Sittin' on the front porch swing looking at the stars, we gaze into each others eyes.We know just where we are ...on our lil' slice of Heaven ...down a long dirt road.
