Hartford Building Implosion

The following building was imploded in January of 2001. I have displayed some before, during, and after photos.  The before photos were taken on Kodak Max 400 color print film.  The during and after were taken on Fuji Superia X-Tra 800 color print film.  Click on any photo for a larger view.


BEFORE

The gold domed building is the State Capital Building.

This location is two blocks east of the site.  The concrete tower that is the full height of the building is a connector to an adjacent parking garage.  The tower must be taken down without the assistance of high explosives.  The parking garage is visible in the foreground and remained intact.

DURING

The implosion took place at 7:15 am on January 28, 2001.  The implosion was set by Controlled Demolition Incorporated.  The complete sequence can be downloaded from hartford.zip.
