Kidney & Urology Foundation of America dedicated to helping Americans who suffer from kidney, urologic, and related diseases, and to fostering research into new and better treatments. Has resource library that gives nice over of high blood pressure, anemia, etc. It does have a small section on PKD but as far as I know, it's incorrect about cysts in the brain (rare) or heart(have never heard of) being a normal symptom. The spleen, liver and other internal organs are normally where other cysts might be found.

Employment: A Kidney Patient's Guide to Working and Paying for Treatment has guides on how to find out if you qualify for Medicare and Disability and how to apply for it, if you can afford to work on Disability and much more. A good to place to get information about this subject.
Home Dialysis Central Site about all types of home dialysis (Peri and Hemo). Gives pros and cons of each, has patient stories and message boards.
WebMD A site where you can find medical information about many conditions. They have a message board for those with kidney failure that has many knowledgable regulars on it. There is also a chat room for kidney failure that has a registered nurse who has scheduled chats where you can ask questions. You do have to join WebMD to use it but it's free.
Renal Diet Menu Maker Free program by Raymond and Audrey Sorensen (who were faced with having to learn about a renal diet) to help you plan daily menus which will provide you with the proper number of calories and amounts of protein, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, and other nutrients that you need, and to allow you as much variety as possible.

Dialysis On-Line Support This is an on-line support group that you subscribe to and the server will send a copy of all the messages it receives to you. The PKD support group that uses a mailing list like this is very helpful.
Dialysisfinder provides interactive maps for locations within the US to help plan trips.
International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis Site mainly for medical professionals. It does list treatment guidelines for peritoneal dialysis and has a page of links to other sites.
Transweb: All About Transplantation and Donation Has transplant quiz and top 10 myths, a Q&A section, news, and shows the transplant journey.
Nephron Information Center This is one of my favorite new sites. It has working diagrams of how the kidney works, information on low protein diets for kidney patients and the tests you should have to monitor your health, Links to nephrology groups and journals, Quizzes on pre-ESRD and ESRD, virtual dialysis, and transplant information. Definitely one of the best sites I've seen on any thing to do with the kidney!
