I'm taking a break from doing chats for a while. I've just got a lot I need to do right now and am feeling a bit stressed out but everyone is still welcome to use the chat room when ever they want. Also feel free to leave notes on the msg board if you want to find others to meet with or to let everyone know what time you'll be in the chat room...beth

There's 2 other chat rooms you can check out. Both are on MicroSoft Network Communities, so you need to use Internet Explorer. Netscape won't work. You do have to join but it's free. Stop by and say hello if you can. Both of the people running these chats are very friendly and easy to get along with.

I know these chat times might not be convenient for everyone so if you would like to host a meeting in this chat room at a different time, just put up a note on the message board. If you would like to host a meeting at the same time every week,� e-mail me �and I'll put a notice up on this page.

To use the chat room

Enter a "user name" and then click on the "ok, connect" button. You should than get " The remote machine has accepted the network request ... please wait." in which case you're all set or "that name is taken" msg msg where you need to start over again with a new name. I just add another letter to my name and it usually works, ex. "bethp" instead of just "beth".
If you still have trouble, it might be because it's a java chat room and not all browsers work well with them. AOL is well known for not playing well with others. I hope these directions help anyone who's been having trouble getting in the chat.....beth
