If you have any questions
regarding struggles you may be having in recovery, e-mail the question
to me and I will post it here and ask for other recovering persons to share
their own experiences on the problem posted.
Here is a question from anonymous:
I would be very interested if you could obtain
any information concerning relapsing. My son is an addict. He has been
in several facilities; however, has been unable to keep clean. He currently
is in his fourth month of being clean and yet living in another facility.
He has successfully completed this program and will be on his own shortly.
I do know that if he is not ready, willing and able to remain clean, it
won't happen.
Here is a question from Wendy:
I'm interested in hearing what people think
about a halfway house requiring residents to start attending an AA meeting
that is held on the property over any other meeting at the same time. What
are the pros and cons? This
is a meeting that has been in existence for about 6 months.
Thank you.
Here is a question from Myra:
Michael,
I enjoyed your webpage. I am an alcoholic in
my first yr of recovery. Can you help me find the A.A. chatrooms
please?
Here is a question from Roberta:
Michael:
My name is Roberta. I have just recently gone
On-Line and I am helping my brother, who works with Narcotics Anonymous,
and is trying to do a study on why people relapse after many years of being
clean. The question is "what is the major obstacle to get clean again. Most
people feel immense guilt, shame and frustration and find
getting clean again to be more difficult to deal with. There is no
literature available concerning "relapse." He
had asked me to check the Internet to see if there is anything on "Narcotic
Relapses". I searched narcotic
relapses but I'm not coming up with any data. He is really concerned
about "why people relapse after many
years of staying clean." He speaks with people everyday and he would
like to create a questionaire regarding this type of problem. I don't know
if you have this kind of information available or would this be something
that you might like to expand on in a way of "research and curiosity".
My brother and I would appreciate any help you can give us. Thank you in
advance for your time,
Roberta
Here's a question from Pammy:
Dear Michael,
I am very new to the internet but have been
in twelve step recovery since 1981. I attend a lot of AA meetings but my
primary addiction is food. I am looking for some other people in recovery
who are either in OA or knowlegdeable about compulsive eating and the over
whelming power food can have over someone like me.
I found your cite on the internet and thought
you might be able to help me find some online sponsors. I look
forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
Pammy
Here's a question from Barb:
Michael, My name is Barb and I am an addict
and an alcoholic. I have been in recovery almost 11 years. I am
currently trying to help a very good freind find a 12 step program
for domestic abuse. Do you know if there is such a program? If so, could
you please e-mail me back with a phone number or website address, so she
can get to some meetings. We are in the Los Angeles Area if that helps
and she is also 10 years in recovery for Drugs
and alcohol, but this domestic issue is (and no pun intended) kicking
her butt.... Can you please help? Thank you for taking your time and I
am glad I found your website. Thanks....

There´s a huge need for this group in Finland. So this is the first Nar-Anon group in Finland and we need all possible information about how to start and maintain groups, about literature...about everything! Please help us.
