No estudo mais aprofundado dos Repertórios e das Matérias Médicas Puras, observamos que a correta compreensão das palavras é da maior importância para o entendimento dos sintomas.

Você já deve ter assistido aulas de professores bem intencionados que procuraram dar uma definição precisa de sintomas repertoriais baseados em dicionários antigos e modernos. Mas também se lembra da experiência dolorosa de ouvir definições conflitantes dos mesmos sintomas, dadas por outros bem intencionados professores. Muitas vezes é impossível, através de um dicionário, mesmo que da mesma época em que foi descrito o sintoma, recuperar a intenção do autor. A solução para este problema seria o de se atrelar a definição das palavras usadas nos sintomas homeopáticos ao significado das mesmas nos sintomas das Matérias Médicas Puras. Neste caso poderíamos ter as palavras usadas no repertório com o mesmo significado que elas possuem nas Matérias Médicas Puras, o que levaria a uma uniformidade na linguagem homeopática. Com um dicionário de palavras baseadas nos textos patogênicos, temos um dicionário próprio da Homeopatia que nos serve de guia para a compreensão do sintoma homeopático.

Foi necessário estudar profundamente o significado das palavras mais importantes nos sintomas patogênicos, procurar seus análogos e buscar semelhanças. Foi criado um dicionário com mais de 4000 palavras na língua inglesa, sendo este constituído das principais palavras dos sintomas mentais das MMPs, seus sinônimos e análogos. As palavras, em vez de serem definidas por verbetes de dicionário, são neste caso exemplificadas pelos próprios sintomas de que elas ocorrem. Pela leitura de diversos sintomas com a mesma palavra, podemos apreender seu significado no contexto do sintoma homeopático e não como uma simples definição de dicionário. Por exemplo, a palavra hipocondria nos textos clássicos das MMPs pode ser, em determinados sintomas, semelhante à melancolia ou, em outros sintomas, medo ou ilusão de doenças, como na acepção moderna da palavra. Esta palavra é usada nos repertórios clássicos na primeira acepção e nos repertórios modernos no segundo sentido. É claro que vão ocorrer erros se adicionarmos medicamentos da rubrica hipocondria de repertórios antigos à mesma rubrica de um repertório moderno. É muito importante conhecermos aa linguagens dos diversos repertórios, pois são divergentes entre si e também das matérias médicas puras. Por exemplo, a palavra Dwells do sintoma repertorial "Dwells, past disegreeable occurrences, on", ou "se fixa em acontecimentos desagradáveis do passado", nos dá a idéia de ressentimento. Nas matérias médicas puras esta palavra está associada à idéia de fixar a mente num problema no sentido de se preocupar e não no sentido de ressentimento.

O livro é em formato A4, possui cerca de 500 páginas e é totalmente na língua inglesa.

Inicialmente temos a abreviatura do medicamento, a fonte do sintoma (Ha, Hahnemann; Al, T. Allen; He, Hering; Al-N, H. Allen), a numeração do sintoma, e ao término, os temas relacionados aos sintomas, os mesmos que são usados no Repertório Temático e na Matéria Médica Temática.
