I suppose many of my heroes have come and gone over the years, some have fallen in and
out of favor. But in the end there are those that have presented themselves, and stood the test of time!Heroes are very often imperfect
people, although we probably hate to admit it. In their imperfections lie their humanity, and it makes a connection to the rest of us
easier to understand.
I grew up in the 50's and 60's with a lot of the same hero's a lot of other kids had; John Wayne, Roy Rogers,
Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax,........ ! But in the end, the turmoil of the late 60's and early 70's many of my heros turned out to be people
who played a more important role in our lives than entertainers or sports personalities! I of course have One hero who stands Head
and Shoulders above the rest, and He will certainly always have the honored spot in my hall of fame. You may not know him but you will
meet him here!
The order of this list is loosely chronological and has no bearing on their status in my "Hall of Fame, other than I will tell you,
& did save the best for last! Please take the time to visit each site ! I would hate to have YOU miss MY REAL HERO!!!
