Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for adventures in The Great Lakes State: MICHIGAN
The Mackinac Bridge - A beautiful scene in the late afternoon sun. At the "cross-roads of the Great Lakes" the Mackinac Bridge joinsthe upper and lower Peninsulas of Michigan. The Mackniac Bridge has linked the two peninsulas for 40 years.The five-mile long bridge requires constant attention, like replacing the 96 colored cable lamps that outline the majestic structure from dusk to dawn. The total length of the bridge and approaches is 26,195 ft. with towers that rise 552 ft. above the water.
