Welcome!!

to my 10th diary page.

March 26, 2008, Oh my gosh! it has been such a long time since the last post, where should I start? Well, in December, Christmas was grand. I got a PS2 (again) and some games to go with it. Guitar hero and Tony Hawk are my favorite. School is going well and I am still in scouts. I am pretty bored with scouts and want to quit, but dad says to finish it out my final year, Webelo 2. After that, I will probably not go into Boy Scouts. We'll see.

Right now I am on Spring Break. I am enjoying it. The weather has finally gotten nice. This winter was horrible. I have been sick and so has Connor and mom. Dad has been fortunate, he has not been sick. Connor and I both have had ear infections and he has some respiratory congestion he was taking an inhaler for.

All of our animals are doing fine. We might be keeping Felony forever. He was suppose to be gotten passed over to his owner back in February, but his owner did not get out of the navy. Dad talked to Casey last month and it looks like it will be in August or July that Travis will be out. Dad told him that there is an open door here for Felony if they wish for us to keep him. He has been such a good dog, it is going to be hard for mom and dad to give Felony back if Travis wants him.

Miss Fluffers, Connor's hamster died a few weeks ago. She came down with some type of tumor. She went downhill pretty fast after the tumor revieled itself. Miss Cali is still doing fine. Bailey is fine. Bailey is 6 years old. Can you believe that?

We are thinking quite seriously of getting a corn snake. Dad always has wanted one. He has been doing a lot of research about them and such. When we went to the pet store recently, I even held one. Pretty neat. Our plecostomus is doing well. He is about 9 inches or so. We will be getting a bigger tank soon for him.

December 10, 2007, here is a pic of the dogs. They had been napping. Felony on the left, Dublin, and Bailey.

November 18, we had a funtime yesterday and this past week. For scouts, we had a food drive for the Senior Center and we took a bunch of food to them. Ridgely also helped us so we had a great turnout of food. Yesterday, our pack rang Salvation Army bells at Schnucks and Walmart. It was fun. We get community service hours for those activities.

November 13, We had my birthday party at a roller skating hall. It was really fun. My friends Nicholas and Stevie came and of course I had Jesse and many family. It was really fun skating. The next day, dad was off work, so he took Connor, Jimmy, and I to the skating rink. We had a good time until we came home when Jimmy was not being very nice.

November 11, 2007
HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY! I would like to thank all those veteran's that have served and continue to serve our country year by gone to present.

November 1st, we had a great time last night trick or treating. I dressed up as the guy from Scream. I had a bloody mask too. It was cool. Connor dressed like a ninja. We had a lot of fun.

October 31, 2007 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

October 28th, we went to the Zoo and Illinois State Museum for some Halloween fun. There were lots of other kids and we had a fun time.

October 26th, mom and dad gave me $50.00 for my birthday. I bought 2 games, Clue and Uno. I also like collecting wrestling cards.

October 25, 2007
Happy Birthday to me!! I am 10 years old today. We will be having my birthday party in a few weeks. We will will be going out for a special dinner tonight.

October 22, this weekend was Webelos Woods. Monica, our den leader, took our den to Webelos Woods at Camp Illinek where we learned some skills that were taught by the Order of the Arrow Boy Scouts. We stayed overnight Friday and Saturday.

September 8th, well Clay's name has changed. It is now Aristotle. He is slightly smaller than Dublin. They both are doing fine though. Lately, mom and grandma has been argueing over domestic issues. Mom told grandma that this is the last straw. She does not have to be concerned with what dad calls, "domestic issues". I hope this resolves their disagreements. It makes me and dad sad to see mom and grandma argue. Scouts has started and school has started. I enjoy both so far.

August 25th, today mom and grandma got miniature pinschers. Our neighbor, Amanda, has puppies and mom and grandma each took one. Mom named her puppy, Dublin and grandma named hers, Clay. They ae cute. Now we have 5 dogs. Bailey, Missy, Felony, our foster, Dublin, and Clay.

August 23rd, today was my first day back to school. I am in the fourth grade and I am worried that it will be hard. Dad and mom says it will be fine. I enjoyed my first day back. It was really hot though. My room is on the third floor of our school.

August 10th, yesterday I marched with our cubscout pack in the state fair parade. It was not really too hot. There was about 13 of us scouts. I saw my friends Christopher, DJ, and Corey. They were watching the parade.

August 8th, we went to National Night Out last nite. That was fun. We had games, people singing, k-9 dog demonstration, and good food. Dad had our Pack 352 info table on display. I carried the U.S. flag during the presentation of the colors.

July 30th, Connor started soccer today. It was his first practice. He did pretty good and he enjoys it. I told mom and dad that I want to play soccer too, but dad reminded me that I do not like 2 things required for soccer. Heat and running. We'll see.

July 20th, yesterday Mrs. Beary died. When dad got home he took me to the pet store to get another hamster. I picked out a calico hamster and I named her Miss Cali. She is cute.

July 17, dad suspects that something is wrong with Mrs. Beary's belly. There seems to be a lump. I am sad, I don't want her to die. I hold her a little. She still moves around, but drags her foot.

July 15th, today dad noticed that Mrs. Beary has lost a lot of weight. She is really skinny and dad says he doesn't know why she has lost all this weight.

July 8th, yesterday dad took Connor and I to Lake Springfield Beach for the first time this summer. It was really fun. We have been swimming at our friends house next door because he has a pool. He is a fun kid. Chris is his name.

July 5th, we went to watch fireworks last night at the same parking lot that we have laways watched them from . The only difference is this year grandma doesn't live at the apartment anymore. We had fun. Our neighbor's children and their friends were shooting off fireworks from atop their house. The police got called, but did not do anything except tell them to clean up their mess.

July 4th, 2007
Happy 4th of July! Lots of fun and fireworks going on. My neighbor, Ariel and her family have been shooting off fireworks this past week. Dad says they're illegal.

June 24th, we moved grandma to our house yesterday. We have many boxes all over. We went to Aunt Monica's for lunch after the move. We had a potluck and ordered KFC chicken. It was good. It poured down rain after we were all done with the move. I am sure glad it didn't rain during the move.

June 21, yesterday was the last day of daycamp for this year. I shot bullseyes for both bb gun and archery. We made candles and sang lots of songs. It was a fun 3 days.

June 17th, dad has been going to grandma's apartment and bringing home boxes of her stuff. He is working on her room. He has repainted and taken up the old carpet. It really looks nice. Grandma will really like it. Saturday is the big day.

June 15th, last night rocked! Dad took Connor and I to the Sangamon County Fair and we rode lots of rides an saw a rock concert. Hells Bells was the name of the band. They are an AC/DC tribute band. They were very good. Dad said they play and sound just like them. It was really fun.

June 14th, we had out first Webelo I den meeting yesterday. We did some activities that go towards the Webelo rank. We were at Lincoln Park. We also had KFC for lunch there.

June 12th, yesterday we went to Uncle Tom's birthday party at Washington Park. It was fun. Their was a cookout and of course we played at the playground.

June 8th, grandma said she is ready to leave the apartment she is living in. She is tired of all the stuff going on there. Mom and Dad says that she can move in with us if she wants. That'll be a treat.

June 6th, this week was fun. We had a bowling trip and all the good kids in school got to go. Then we had some final testing and the last day of school. YAY!! Summer is here!

June 3rd, today Felony, Baileys dad, moved in with us. Yep, we are now his official foster family. Casey and Chrissy moved into a trailer and really don't have enough room for him. We like it. He is such a good dog. He gets along with all the animals and is so laid back.

May 27th, yesterday I went to Douglas Park for Andrew's birthday party. He will also be having a stayover at his house next weekend. We had fun at Douglas Park. The park is not as fun as Lincoln or Washington Park, but it is ok. This morning we went to Camp Butler to place the American Flags at all the soldiers graves. After we were finished, some of our pack members went to Ryans for Breakfast. Boy, do they have a good menu for breakfast.

May 20th, this past weekend wad the Pack 352 family campout. It really was a sad sight, but we still had a fun time. Only Connor, Austin, and myself were at the campout. We also had our crossover Saturday evening. Connor to Wolf rank, Austin to Bear, and I to Webelo I. We played games and did lots of hiking. We had a good picnic food too. One of the neatest things we saw was a robin's nest. Momma Robin had 3 baby robin's. It was cool.

May 17th, today Connor and I went to the Zoo on a field trip. Mom and Laura went too. It was fun. Tommorow after I get home from school, dad will be taking us camping.

May 16th, last week I got a hamster, her name is Mrs. Beary. She is a black bear hamster. She is so cute. Connor got a long hair dalmation hamster, but it died 2 days after. We went back yesterday and bought him a short hair dalmation hamster. Connor named her Miss Fluffers.

April 30th, boy what a weekend I had! Started of with an overnight campout with my Bear den at Pioneer Days at Jim Edgar State Park, then we enjoyed all the pioneer days festivities on Saturday. Christian, Jacob, Art, Andrew, and I all did the campout. There was cadle making, a tightrope obstacle course, tomahawk throwing ( I didn't do that), pioneer tracker stuff, and lots and lots of scouters. We topped it off with Sundays Lincoln Pilgrammage where we marched from Lincoln't tomb to the Old State Capitol. Usually we marched to the New State Capitol, but this year organizers wanted to do the trek like they did when they first started doing it. It was a fun weekend.

April 21, 2007
Happy 7th Birthday Connor!

April 15, 2007
Happy Birthday Dad!

April 14th, today it was rainy, but I still participated with the flag collection we had at Quik N Ezy. Dad took Connor and I to Quik N Ezy and it was cold and rainey. We stood outside the store and we also got invited inside the store, so that was better. We ended up collecting about 15 flags. The flags will later be taken to Camp Illiniwek, where the Boy Scouts will retire them.

April 9th, yesterday we spent Easter at Aunt Monica's. We searched for eggs and had fun and food. We saw my cousins, Angel, Frankie, and Iasiac.

April 8th, 2007
Happy Easter to Everyone!

April 3rd, we are on Spring Break this week so dad took the day off yesterday and we went to the park and had a good time. It was really nice weather.

April 1st, I won lots of money!!! April Fool's! Don't I wish. Really, yesterday I went to the Kmart Cleanup that our pack did to help raise money while mom and dad went to some scout training. Aunt Monica took Connor and I. It went all right.

March 29th, yesterday we had our first First Aid Meet. This was done as a pack function where all the dens were able to meet their requirements for the first aid badge. We learned how o splint and wrap broken bones, how to apply dressings to areas that are bleeding, learned about pulses, and the fun part, we practiced on each other. It was a good time.

March 15th, last night, Connor was taken to prompt care because he was bitten by our friends dog. Jimmy's beagle is not very nice to children and Connor tried petting it when it bit him on the arm. He only needed a few stitches and fortunately, the dog was up to date with its shots.

March 21, I went on a Go See It with the Tiger den to News Channel 20 station. The Tiger den invited us. It was really neat to see how all the work is done behind the scenes. We even got to be on the news at the end of the news. We were sitting in couches and chairs and they aimed the camera at us and introduced us and told us to wave goodbye. It was fun.

March 4th, yesterday mom and dad took Connor and I to go see the movie Night at the Museum. That was really good. I think it would be cool to be in a museum and have all these people and animals come to life.

February 25th, we had our Blue & Gold Banquet and it was really fun. We had a Hawaiian theme and Hawaiian inspired food.

December 1st, tonight we all are at grannies house. Can you believe that early this morning we had a severe winter ice and snow storm that knocked out power in our neighborhood since 3:30am? Dad went to work while mom and us stayed home. Mom cooked on the campstove and Connor and I played outside a few times. When dad came home he brought us here. I hope our electricity comes on soon.

November 16th, yesterday at our cub scout meeting we went over some rules to play chess. I am learning how to play chess to get chess beltloop. At our next pack meeting, all scouts will participate in a human game of chess. It should be a funtime.

November 11th, it was a sunny day yesterday. Dad took Connor, Bailey, and me to the park. We had out usual fu time. I will be working in the school cafeteria soon. I will work at the milk station, dishes, or wipe off tables. It will be fun. I can also use that time collected towards my community service scout program. I already have over 50 hours since we our pack started keeping track of the hours about 1.5 years ago.

November 6th, my birthday party at the Illinois State Museum was a blast. I had some friends and family there. It was really fun. The theme was “sharks”. We made a shark tooth, saw sharks teeth and bones, and went on a treasure hunt. My Cousin Chalen and Aunt Rozea was there too. A lot of my family had not seen the museum before so we toured it before the party. It was a really, really, fun time.

November 1st, yesterday was Halloween and we had a fun time last night. Dad took Connor and I trick or treating in our neighborhood. We even went to his old neighborhood too. It was pretty cold though. Silly me, I didn’t even were regular clothes under my costume. We got lots of candy.

October 29, yesterday we went trick or treating at the Illinois State Museum and at the zoo. We had a fun time. At the zoo, we also got to vote on the mascot for Saint John’s Hospital. The two mascots running were a dog and a kangaroo. I liked the dog better.

My birthday party will be on the fist Sunday in November and we will be having it at the Illinois State Museum. It will be really fun. The cake auction was fun. There were lots of neat cakes. I had bidden and won the cat litter cake that Andrew’s mom made. My cake won the scariest award. It was a graveyard made of chocolate rice crispies. It had cookies as tombstones and plastic coffins and monsters. It was really neat.

IN MEMORY OF 9/11/01
A day that will last in our minds forever. A day that has forever changed the United States of America

September 9, we had our open house at the school. It was fun. I saw some friends and showed mom and dad my room. We went to go see Pirates of the Carribean this past weekend. It was good. Missy is getting along pretty well with our cats and Bailey. I am enjoying school. Soon will be parent teacher conferences.

August 30, Missy looks like a 100% different dog. She has been shaved really close to get rid of the mats she had. You can now see her face and see how small of a dog she is. She has had her shots and she weighs just over 10 lbs. Scouts will be starting this week. I will be a Bear scout. My brother will be a Tiger. School started too. Mom is glad of this. I am excited about it. I have a really good teacher. I like reading and I like Music this year better than last year.

August 21, we picked up Missy. She is cute. She is really more white than brown. She is kinda rusty color in some areas. Dad will have to post a pic sometime. We are going to need to get her up to date on her shots and she is in need of a grooming. It is obvious she has not been brushed the way she should have been. She is really nice.

August 19, mom came home from a leaders meeting a few days ago and said that a friend of hers has a dog that needs a home. The dog is a chinese crested powder puff. So, guess what? We are going to go pick up the dog tomorrow. Her name is Missy. She is brown. We're excited. Mom bought 2 more fish to help out with keeping the bottom of the tank clean, they are white. Dad named them Powder and Whitey. School starts Tuesday. Mom and dad are excited about this. I will be in third grade. I am not too excited about it.

August 15, we went to the state fair on Saturday and boy was it fun. We rode many rides. My favorite ride is the boat ride that goes back and forth really high. Dad gets scared on this ride. He also gets get sick when we ride Dizzy Dinos or Barrel of Monkeys ride. We also saw a bear show that had 3 real black bears. We also saw sharks in a big tank. That was neat.

August 12, we got some more fish. Now we have Bert and Sharkey(orange platys), Suishi and Tiny (they are ghost shrimp), the Blues Brothers- Jake and Elwood (they are blue striped tetras, and Sam the suckerfish. The fair parade was yesterday and boy did it take a long time. We got to the place to meet and we waited almost two hours vefore we actually got started walking in the parade. The march went pretty quick. It was fun overall. There sure were lots of people. We will be going to the fair this weekend.

August 7th, this past weekend I went on a den campout at the KOA campgrounds. It was really fun. There was hiking and swimming. Dad thought we could fish so he had brought our fishing supplies and bait, however, he mistook that. So, we went fishing at Washington Park yesterday. Connor and I brought home 3 small pond fish, but they died. Grandma took us to Walmart to buy some fish and a tank. That was nice. Mom was not too crazy about the idea, but she likes the fish too. She had a migraine on the second day.

Yesterday, we went through the Ridgley neighborhood and collected the food donations that we had put out fliers for last weekend. We got a whole truckful of food. Many people will benefit from the food collection.

March 13th, yesterday through the night we had some very bad storms hit Springfield. Bad enough that for the first time since the 1950's we had 2 tornado touchdowns within the city limits. There were two storms that raged through the city. The first started around 8:30pm and the second started about 1:44am. When the damage was all done the evidence showed that the tornados started on the southwest end and ended at the southeast side. Many houses and stores in its' path were damaged or even worse, demolished. The local high school is being set up for being a shelter. We were without power until about 2:30am today. We are very fortunate. We did not have any damage an we did get our power back pretty fast. It was scary. Dad and mom got their walkie talkies and dad watched what was happening outside while mom, Connor, and I stayed in the basement with Bailey. We had no radio to hear what was happeing. After the first storm went through the sirens stopped and we went outside. It was actually nice temperature. We talked with some neighbors. Dad took a ride with Connor and said that our area was ok. Just minor wind damage. Limbs were down basically. But when we saw the newspaper, then it was evident what other parts of the city went through.
March 12th, yesterday we delivered fliers about the Scouting for Food program that we will be doing next weekend. We had a good turnout of scouts for this.

February 27th, the blue and gold was a success. We had spaghetti and salad and of course the sweets. There were den yells being yelled and there were awards being passed out. We had a good time.

February 19th, Dad is sick with a cold this weekend and today I am starting to get sick too. Sore throat and stuffy nose. Dad gave me some medicine this morning for it. I don’t have school tomorrow, which is good. I can rest. I was just sick about one and half weeks ago. I had gotten a 24 hr flu bug similar to what dad. We are going to have our Blue and Gold banquet next weekend. It should be a fun time.

February 13th, this past weekend we got hit with a bunch of snow. Guess what Connor, dad, and I did? We went sledding. Dad bought Connor and I new sleds because the awesome red one we had forever broke and had a gouge in the back of it. We had a really good time. We also went shopping for mom for Valentines Day. We got some neat things for her. I picked out a Boyds Bear resin M &M guy and Connor picked out a yellow plush M & M bear. Mom likes Boyds Bears. Dad bought her a beautiful watch. Mom collects watches.

January 29th, yesterday was our pinewood derby. It was pretty fun. I won third place in the wolf den. I won a trophy. My friend Andrew had another fast car this year. He got 1st in the wolves and took second overall pack. Good going Andrew! I don’t want to race in the district this year. I will go at it again next year. The bake sale was a hit. Mom said that the sale raised closed to $200.00 for the pack. Good going you moms!

I helped paint the car and put some writing on it. It is a racecar. The race will be on the 28th. We will be going to Iassics birthday party this Sunday.

January 12th, yesterday dad had the day off from work and he and mom came to school to eat lunch with us. I like that. We got some food from MacDonald's.

January 1, 2006, To all my friends and family, I wish for the best and happiest year to come.

December 26th, yesterday was a lot of fun. We woke up and saw that Santa had come and brought our gifts. Strange though, that he didn’t bring anything for Bailey. I got some cool games, a deck of cards, a clip board case, and many pads of paper just to name a few items. My Aunt Lisa and Uncle Tim came down too. We had a lots of fun playing games with everyone and eating good food. We played battleship, Uno, and Towing Blocks. Dad even taught Connor and I how to play hangman on paper. Bailey did get a gift of tennis balls from Uncle Tip and Aunt Lisa. She loved them. She even unwrapped the tennis balls herself. She could smell them! We had a good time at my Aunt Monica’s house too. We went there on Saturday to have a Christmas dinner with Jesse and his family. We had some good food and of course, the gifts were good too. I love Christmas.

December 25, 2005
I hope all my family and friends have a wonderful Christmas day.

December 22nd, last night was our annual Christmas potluck for our scout pack. There was lots of good food and also we got some awards passed out to us. Christmas is next week. I cannot wait. We will be going to my Aunt Monica’s for Christmas Eve dinner and gifts. That will be a fun day.

December 18th, yesterday we went to the Stoye’s house where they were having the pinewood derby clinic. This is where Bobby will help cut your car then you can sand it with sand paper. Dad helped me with the drawing. I am going to have a racecar. Connor is going to have a police car, and dad, he isn’t sure what kind of car. His is in the shape of a delivery truck of some sort.

November 26th, We went to my Aunt Monica’s house and boy was that a good time. We had some really good food and Connor and I played with Jesse, Baby Iassac, and AJ. This past Friday, dad took Connor and I to Peoria and we met up with Uncle Joe and Stevie at their house then we all drove to the Santa Parade in Downtown Peoria. That was a funtime. It sure was cold though. Mom didn’t go with us, as usual, she stayed home. We went out to eat and afterwards we went to see my Aunt Mary whom I haven’t seen for a long time. I think two years now. The last time we were in Peoria we went to see her. We had a fun time.

November 24, 2005
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family. What a special day. We will be going to my Aunt Monica's for dinner. Tomorrow we will be going to Peoria for the Santa Claus Parade. We will meet up with Uncle Joe and Cousin Stevie. I also might see some of my relatives. It should be a fun day.

My moms step sister, Rozea, even came. I had a Spiderman cake and it was good. There were lots of neat gifts.

October 31, 2005
Happy Halloween!! I was dressed like Darth Vader and Connor is dressed as a Power Ranger Ninja. It was rainy tonight, but dad took us out trick or treating anyway because we still wanted to go out. It was the best halloween ever!

October 27th, yesterday at my pack meeting we had a cake bake auction. My cake was a ghost that looked like a cub scout. There were many cool cakes. Andrews was a cat litter cake. It really looked like a cat litter box. Ooh, Gross! The auction raised about $600.00 for our pack. We are also selling popcorn and candles.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!
Today I turned 8 years old. After school got out, dad and Connor took me to the toy store and I bought some toys. I even bought Connor a toy. I bought The Thing fists and a Yo Stick. I got Connor a Power Ranger sword that lights up. He really likes it. Then dad took me out do dinner. I chose to eat chinese. Mom was sick. She was sick for three days. I hope she is better tomorrow.Mom and dad plans on having my birthday next weekend. I cannot wait.

October 23rd, I plan on being Darth Vader for Halloween. Actually, I want to be the scream guy, but Connor doesn't like anything scarey so I can't be him. The Darth Vader costume is cool. The front of it lights up and also it comes with a light saber. It really lights up. My birthday is coming up soon.

October 20th, I am not sure what I will be doing for halloween. My birthday is also coming up soon. Next week in fact. At scouts, I have been working on first aid, learning about computers, and learning about Illinois and a surrounding state.

October 16th, we got back home from camping today. It was really fun. We got to camp on Friday evening. Dad couldn't find the site at first, but after 50 minutes finally got us there. Aunt Monica and Uncle Tom forgot to put signs out which campsite we would be at. Anyways, Friday nite we just set up our camp and then played. Later in the evening we had cheese and crackers. Saturday, we had a good breakfast of sausage and egg casserol and drank milk and juice. We played. For lunch, I and the rest of the wolves worked on making spaghetti and cleaning up. Actually, my dad and Jordan's grandpa Pete did the cooking. Jordan and I cleaned dishes and Quinn and Andrew swept the kitchen. After lunch we had our scout olympics. It was fun. There was an obstacle course with many stations to do certain things. We ran a 50yd dash, went through some hula hoops, ran around some cones, ran through ropes, did sit-ups, a standing long jump, broom toss, and 3 running jumps. After that, we also would kick and pass a football. My times were pretty good. I did pretty well over all and placed in many categories. Quinn on the other hand hated it. He actually walked through the course. I think he did place in some of the measured categories though. Saturday night we played and had hotdogs and chips for supper. We had smores and a campfire. We also met the polar bear patch requirement. We whe Tom woke up Sunday morning, there were patches of frost over the grounds. This meant that the temperatures did get at least 32 degrees. Enought to freeze water. So, we slept in 32 degree weather. I slept good. I really had a good time.

Happy Anniversary mom and dad!!
I hope you enjoyed your time alone mom. ~Scott

October 12th, we will be having our scout pack's fall family campout this coming weekend. Unfortunately, it will also be mom and dads wedding anniversary. Mom said she will stay home so she can let the dog out. This she says will save on gas because of the 40 minute one way trip back home. So, Just dad, Connor, and I will be doing the campout. We will have fun though. Mom, I am sure will enjoy her time alone.

October 2nd, yesterday dad took Connor and I to the Mother Road Festival and to the stone and fossil show. Man, that SuperCroc was really neat. It was a huge animal. It ate dinosaurs for lunch! At the car show we saw lots of hotrods and old cars. I really liked the hearse too. They had a coffin as a trailer running behind it.

September 29th, yesterday was our first scout pack meeting. I received my patches for what I did over the summer. My friend Quinn also joined scouts. He too is a wolf scout. He has not been in scouts before. I know he is pretty excited about it. We will be going to a parade of hotrods that will be at the Mother Road show this weekend. We will be going to a stone and fossil show this weekedn also. They are going to have a skull of SuperCroc. SuperCroc was a prehistoric crocodile that was like 25 feet long. It's skull alone is 6 feet. It should be pretty fun weekend.

September 12th, Grandpa Tony was here on Saturday. We all visited and then we went out to lunch. We had a good time.

September 11, 2005

In memory of our country and the people in New York City on the 4th anviversary of the attack on the Twin Towers.

September 9th, we had an open house at our school last night. It was fun. Dad only went because mom was at a scout leaders meeting. She is a tiger scout den leader now. Anyway, we saw our teachers, painted, and played. They had hotdogs and chips for their picnic. Grandpa Tony and Rosemary will be coming to visit this weekend.

September 6th, yesterday dad took Connor and I to Knight's Action Park. It was their last day open for this season. We have never been there before and it was really fun. I liked the Devil Ray ride, the Wave pool, and the Giant Slide. Dad was scared of the Devil Ray ride. I did get him to go on it two times.

September 5th, Today is LABOR DAY! Happy Labor Day to all those people who help in labor jobs. It has now been a week since hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast and many people who have lost their homes are now living in Texas, Mississippi, and other states throughout America. The Red Cross, FEMA, and US Military has been giving aid and trying to save people. It really is something.

August 30th, yesterday Connor and I started school. I didn't mind it. I like my new teacher, Miss Graham. Also yesterday, hurricane Katrina hit the coast off Louisianna and Mississippi. It was really horrible. Many people are now homeless and are living without food and water. Some people are even dying. It is really sad.

August 26th, dad took Connor and I to the movies last night. We saw Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith. It was really neat. My favorite part was when Anikan Skywalker was fighting Obi Kenobi in the fire scene and Anikan got all burned up. Dad said that there is a really bad hurricane that might hit Louisianna and Mississippi soon. That would be scarey. Connor and I will be going back to school next week.

August 22, yesterday we went to Tom and Monica's wedding. It was really fun. I saw many of my fellow scouts and scout leaders. I also got to meet some of my Aunt Monica's friends and of course got to see some of Tom's family. I met dad's cousin, AK also. It was a fun time and the food was good.

August 21, 2005
Congrats to you both!
Congratulations to Tom and Aunt Monica! They are officially my aunt and uncle. They got married today.

August 20, last night we all went to the fair. It was really, really fun! I rode on so many rides. My favorite rides were the Pharoahs Fury, Scrambler, Himalaya (that went really fast!), and the Music Fest. I ate a corndog and mini doughnuts. It started to rain when we were on our last ride, the bumpercars. By the time we got to the car, we were soaked.

August 13, the state fair parade was last night. It was fun. The parade really lasted about 4 hours, but our portion only about 2. We saw many people lined up to see the parade. When we got to the end we had some treats and juice. On our way out we stopped and got some food to eat. It was a fun, but long night.

August 10, today Connor and I went to our school to register. We saw my teacher from last year and I met the new principal. I will be in second grade. I am not looking forward to it. I will be in a split class. There will be second and third graders. I like science and math and gym.

August 3, National Night Out was last night and we had a great time. Many neighborhood associations got together to help with this night. There was a police dog, police mobile command center, games to play, music, and of course the good food. The state fair will be starting next week. I will be marching in the state fair parade with my scout pack. I can't wait for the fair. I like to ride on the rides and I like the corndogs.

July 24th, IT'S HOT!!! It has been so hot the last 2 weeks. In fact, it was so hot today that we went to grannies house. Mom made meatloaf and dad and I played sega. The temp was suppose to get up to 103 degrees today. Dad, Connor, and I have gone to the Lake Springfield beach a few times. It is fun. I like to swim and Connor likes to stand and get wet in the water. He doesn't really like to swim like me and dad.

July 5th, last night we saw the fireworks show downtown. It was very like the other two that we have seen. We saw some fireworks from the Lake and also from Calvary Church. All in all it was a good time seeing all the fireworks.

Happy 4th of July

July 3rd, We went to the ALPM yesterday with Grandpa Tony and Rosemary. We had a good time and I really enjoyed the Union Theater part. We also went to Ryan's Steakhouse for lunch. That was good of course. Tomorrow is the 4th of July. We will watch fireworks at the capital building again this year from grandma's.
July 2nd, last night we went to see fireworks at Lake Springfield. They were ok. We did get a better view than what we have seen at the lake in years past. Tomorrow, Grandpa Tony and Rosemary will be coming to town and we will be taking them to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. We should have a fun time.

June 23rd, We finished up 3 days of day camp yesterday. It was really fun and I earned many beads. My most favorite parts about daycamp is shooting archery and bb guns. I got bullseyes in both of those sports. we also made crafts and a tie dyed neckercheif. The slide we made out of red and blue clay. On the last day of day camp we had the fire bowl. This is when we as a pack put on our skit for everyone there and we also sang songs and got awards passed out. We also ate supper there before the fire bowl.

June 12th, we had our annual scout pack summer car wash fundraiser. We had good weather and it was not too hot. We had fun and also got to eat pizza. We might have another one before the end of summer. Day camp will be coming up soon. that will really, really be fun.

June 4th, yesterday was our last day of school. I am be glad that I won 't be going to school. I will be sleeping in and playing outside. Swimming with my friends, Bryor and Dana. Next year my brother Connor will start kindergarten and I will be in 2nd grade. I also will be doing many scouting functions for the summer. We will be having a car wash in a few weeks to help raise money for our scout pack.

May 30th, 2005

Happy Memorial Day to everyone. Thank you to all those soldiers that have helped keep us free.~Scott

May 29th, yesterday I and my fellow scouts placed flags at the headstones of the soldiers at Camp Butler. With the help of hundreds of scouts, it took only 18 minutes to get all the flags placed. Among our pack we had Andrew, Austin, Donovan, Nick, Nicolas, Justin, Stevie, and Cody just to name a few. We went to the Road Ranger for breakfast. I was pretty hungry. I ate half of my pancakes and all my bacon and scrambled eggs. I wore my wolf uniform. I like the wolf uniform. I also went to my friend, Andrew's, birthday party at Lincoln park. It was fun and we ate hotdogs and chips and played. He turned 7.

May 23rd, this past weekend we had a blast. It was the spring family campout with my scout pack. We fished and played, ate good food and had our ceremonial fire bowl. Four of our highest rank scouts crossed over to the boy scouts. It was neat. Someday I too will be a boy scout. I caught one fish. I was so excited I had to go back to camp and show everyone else. I enjoy camping. Mom and dad said we might go camping this summer. We went to Jim Edgar Panther Creek campgrounds. It was really nice. Next weekend we will be going to Camp Butler and placing flags on tombstones. We usually will eat breakfast afterwards. There are hundreds of scouts involved with placing flags at Camp Butler.

May 15th, we went to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum yesterday. It was very, very cool. We saw what the outside of the Whitehouse looked like when Lincoln and his family might have stood outside. We saw what the Whitehouse kitchen might have looked like in 1862. We saw many things on the Civil War and also saw some things regarding Lincoln's assassination. The neatest part was probably the ghosts in the library show. We also went to the Illinois State Museum and that too was fun. We had a full day. Next weekend is the family campout with the scouts and their families. That should be fun.

May 8th, yesterday I went door to door with some other scouts and put out fliers that explained out recycling drive. We are going to try recycling drives for raising money for our pack. We went to MacDonalds after that. We had a good day. The weather was nice.

April 30th, today was the airshow at Abraham Lincoln Capitol Airport. It was very fun. The highlight was the Blue Angels. We saw biplanes doing tricks and parachutists. I got to sit inside some army helicopters. The weather was great. I enjoyed the jet dragster as well.

April 25th, yesterday's Lincoln Pilgrimage was fun. We met at the Vietnam Memorial and after all out pack members got there we started the hike up to Lincoln's tomb. We listened to band members play and listen to a lot of scout dignitaries. We hiked from the tomb to the state capitol. It wasn't bad at all. I even held out pack flag for a bit. Once after we got to the state capitol, we all met took some pictures then we had some snacks and juice. It was a good day. Next weekend is the airshow. The Blue Angels will be there.

April 24, 2005

Today is the 60th annual Lincoln Pilgrimage. Many hundreds of scouts of all kinds will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery for it. Some even might be from out of state. Yesterday we went to Firehouse #1 for a "go see it". It was really neat. They have a museum there and we also got to see the different fire trucks that they have and what they use them for. We went to McDonalds afterwards for lunch. It was a fun day.

April 22nd, yesterday was Connor's birthday. When dad came home from work Connor opened his gifts that we got him. He really likes his Ninja Turtle Truck. Dad took Connor and I to Jungle of Fun and then afterwards we went home and got mom and we all went to Perkins for Dinner. Connor got his very own ice cream sundae brought to him that he could make the way he wanted too. I actually ate most of it thought because he took a few bites and didn't want the rest. Thanks Con! This coming weekend is the firehouse tour and the Lincoln Pilgrimage.

April 21st, 2005

Happy 5th Birthday Connor!!

April 18th, yesterday we went downtown to see the fireworks and laser light show at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. It was very neat. There were lots of people. Uncle Joe and Stevie came with us and we sat with Dave and Denise. We also saw Grandma Penman down there too. I cannot wait till we go to the museum someday.

April 16th,Happy 35th Birthday to my dad!

Yesterday was his birthday and he enjoyed what Connor and I got him, a coffee mug. A tazmanian devil "dad" coffee mug. We also went out to eat for dinner. Today, dad took Connor and I to the Enos Park easter egg hunt. It was fun. This was the second time we had gone to it. In the afternoon we went on a tiger scout "go see it". We went on a tour of Abraham Lincoln's house and his neighbor's houses also. Bryor and Dana, Donovan, Connor, and myself were the only tiger scouts that went. It was fun. There are lots of festivities going on downtown regarding the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library. Tuesday is the dedication President Bush will be there among some other dignitaries not named yet. It will be an exciting time for Springfield. I cannot wait till we go see it sometime. Next weekend we will be going to another "go see it" that is being put together by Donovan's mom. A tour of the firehouse. That should be really neat. Tomorrow is Connor's birthday party at the Jungle of Fun. It should be another funfilled day.

April 13th, tonight we made log cabins out of a milk carton, frosting, and pretzels. It was a yummy festivity. We also talked about Abraham Lincoln. This weekend we are planning on a "go see it" at his house. That should be fun. Dad says it is going to be a busy weekend.

April 10th, yesterday was a very fullfilling day. Dad took Connor and I to two bike trails and we rode for a long time. It was really fun. Today, mom went with us too. We even rode our bikes to the McDonalds that is a little farther that the end of the bike trail. Dad says that riding the bike as we are will work towards my biking beltloop.

April 8th, today dad saw my report card that was sent home. Mom and dad are very proud of me. I am doing great in school. I am improving in most areas. School is important if you want to get a good job someday.

April 2nd, today mom and dad got me a new bike. It is a Mongoose BMX bike. It is nice. Connor got my old bike and dad put a new tire and seat on it. He likes it. Dad says we will be going bike riding soon.

March 27th, yesterday dad and I went to Kmart and participated in a clean up there to help raise money for our scout pack. The hours we spent doing it also will go towards my community service hours. It was fun. When we were finished we went home to get Connor and mom and we all went out to eat.

March 20th, yesterday we went collecting for our food drive. In our section we collected about 7 bags of food. We even collected something for the ducks. Someone left out a 1/2 open bag of oyster crackers and bread. Those couldn't be accepted for the food drive, but we could use them for the ducks. Mom and dad took us to see a movie. We saw Racing Stripes. That was a good movie. Today I am working on my invention. For scouts we need to make a invention and share it with our pack at the meeting. I am making a toilet roll keeper. This is a upright bar that you can put many rolls on and have it in your bathroom. It is really nice for a small bathroom that doesn't have room for the extra rolls.

March 13th, yesterday we went out with our scout pack and hung door hangers for the Scouting For Food Drive. This is a food drive that will help feed out hungry in Springfield. It was fun. Next weekend we will be collecting the food.

March 6th, I had fun at the district pinewood derby race yesterday. I didn't place in anything, but I had fun watching my car race. We took my cousin, Jesse, with us. Andrew did win in the Tiger division and got to go to the finals. He did not place in the finals. After I was done racing. We all went to see The Incredibles. That was a funny movie. I would like to get that on DVD.

March 1st, the district pinewood derby race is coming up this weekend. We have lots of fun planned. We will be going to see a movie also afterwards.

February 28th, yesterday was our Blue and Gold Banquet. It was really fun. We had the AO Indian Dancer troop as special guests. They were boy scouts who belong to the Order of the Arrow. They did a routine of indian dances and music. It was really neat. Each den put on a skit. Our den did a skit about Akela. Akela and the scouts and what different things in the lue and gold represented. Mom was Akela. It was fun. We will be having some upcoming events coming up in March.

February 13th, this past week I missed school for 2 days. On Wednesday, I had a bad migraine type of a headache and then I also came down with an ear infection. I missed our scouts meeting and instead of going there, I had to go to prompt care to get checked out for my ear. Come to find out I had ear infections. I could not go to school on Thursday and on Friday, school was out and I felt back to normal. That was a good thing to because I wanted to go to the newspaper building. I had fun. It was really cool to see how they can make newspapers. Dad rented some movies this weekend and for a change, I rented a PS2 game. Scooby Doo. It is fun.

February 5th, yesterday was burger buddy day and it was just beautiful outside. Poppy and Grandma Penman came to burger buddy day. I was happy to see them. Dad took the day off so he too could come. I like that. Next week, Monica is taking the tiger scouts on a "go see it" at the State Journal Register. That is our newspaper in town. We should have a fun time.

January 30th, we got our report cards and mom and dad said they are very proud of me. I have improved on all of my skills and I know that it is important to pay attention in school. The teacher says I don't participate as much as she would like but I am scared that I might have the wrong answers when she asks certain questions. Dad says that the most important thing to do in school is pay attention to the teacher. So, I do. I like math and I have very neat handwriting.

January 20th, we went sledding yesterday. It was the first time this winter. Actually, winter has not been bad at all. Seems like we have had more rain and cold days rather than a lot of snow. When it did snow, the snow would be gone in a few days and we'd be left with a muddy mess. UGH!! Dad has signed me up for the district pinewood derby race. Also, Lowes had some derby thing where I could send in a picture of my car and enter it in a contests. So..who knows what will become of that.

January 16th, yesterday was my very first pinewood derby race. I had lots of fun and I even got a ribbon. There were many neat looking cars. I helped dad with my car. I helped paint it, clear coat it, glue parts on, and I also helped color in the flames that dad drew on it. I placed 4th overall in the tiger scouts group. Out of 7 of us I think that is pretty good. Bryor got 1st, Andrew got 2nd, and Austin got 3rd. We had a good time. I cannot wait till next year. My dad even made me my own trophy. It is very cool. Connor did very well too. He placed 1st in the open class where he raced against the leaders, siblings, and adults cars. Good job Conman!

January 1, 2005
Happy New Year Everyone! May 2005 be safe and prosperous for us all.

December 26th, yesterday was so much fun. We all woke up and saw that Santa did come to the house and we opened the gifts he brought. I got a play station 2 and a game, binoculars, a microscope kit, and a few other neat items. Poppy, Rosemary, Tim and Lisa, and Grandma Penman were here for dinner. Tomorrow we will be going to my Aunt Monica's house for Christmas with Jesse, Tom, and her. That should be a fun time as well.

December 25, 2004
Merry Christmas to you all.

December 21st ,things are getting busy around here. Mom has been wrapping gifts for family members and getting ready for Christmas day. Mom has adopted another cat. His name is Tommy. She lets him inside and he stays downstairs or upstairs. He likes to go outside. He is a nice cat. Dad and I have been working on my pinewood derby car. My car will be orange and have a tiger scout theme to it. Dad is going to install a motor, side pipes, and a parachute on the back end. I hope it will be as fast as it is neat looking. Dad is off on Friday and he is planning on taking us to a movie. We are going to go see Sharktale.

December 19th,a lot has been going on around here we have been so busy. First our van is in the repair shop getting new brakes. Second, mom had to go to the hospital 2 weeks ago to get stitches abover her eye because she bent down and hit the corner of the table in the computer room. She got stitches above her eyebrow. Sounds familiar doesn't it? I did have a good time at our December pack meeting. We had a potluck and many awards were passed out for the different things we did this last 3 months. The biggest thing was the popcorn sales. I sold the most for the tiger scouts. We also will be doing the pinewood derby next month. So, last weekend, Connor, Bryor, and I went to Bobby's house and we were able to get our cars cut and we sanded them. I will be able to help dad sand and paint my car. It should be fun. I was sick and missed a few days of school. Connor got sick and mom too a little bit. I stayed all night at Jesse's house last night. Connor was going to but he wanted to go home and be with mom. Dad was going to go to work the next day, so..Dad was home though when I got home. Christmas is just next week and we will be having poppy and Rosemary here, Tim and Lisa, Grandma Penman, and perhaps Joe and Stevie. Well, that is a lot for now.

November 26th, today mom and dad took me and Connor to see the movie, Polar Express. I really liked it. One of my favorite parts were when Santa had all of his reindeer ready to pull his sleigh.Andrew and his mom also went. We tried to all sit together, but it was so crowded that we couldn't. I sat next to Andrew and his mom and Connor sat with mom and dad in the row ahead of us. We were right up front too.

November 25, 2004
I have a lot to be thankful for these days. Although I am not sure for what. I am sure there are just too many things to be thankful for that I cannot even think of any of them.

November 24th, today Thumper died. I was at school, but mom said he must have been sick because he died unexpectedly. Thumper was about 5 years old. He sure was a good bunny. I will miss him. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we will be going to my Aunt Monicas for dinner. We are also planning on going to see The Polar Express on Friday. That should be fun.

November 15, 2004
