Glossary :




1.  Stock- base  plant with roots used as the support for a graft.
 
 



2.  Scion -  Plant intended to be grafted to the base plant (stock)
 
 
 

3.  Meristem - Plant tissue that initiates new growth.


4.  cambium - meristematic tissue under the bark of a woody

plant or around vascular areas of herbacious plants.




5.  Vascular rings -

interrior areas of conductive tissue in non -woody plants surrrounded by cambium





6.  Slip - in grafting terms, it refers to the

ease in which bark seperates from wood .
