Little did Pacey know, when he picked up that last story he had picked up only the first story in a long series. …….

So now, Dawson had to weed through the pile of stories that Pacey had shuffled in an atempt to pick a story, to find part two.

Dawson: Thanks a lot, Pacey. Don't you ever think about anything? Maybe you want to come back here next Saturday but I don't.

Pacey: I'm sorry Dawson. I didn't mean to upset the intricate balance that is your life.

Good Morning, Vietnam by snowgirl

Disclamer: okay, i've written too many of these. It's midnight, i'm tired and final count down is this week. if you want to sue me do it now and maybe i can get some sleep. if not, read on and be amused.you know what is really bad, we as writters don't have really witty things to say about k.w. and the gang. with buffy we can say the characters belong to the eerr-gaarr company, x-files get the numbers people, what do we get. nothing.< sigh >

Jen: The disclaimer eludes me once again.

Pacey: Me too.

Dawson: Last time she was going to give us her cd collection, this time we are going to sue her?

Joey: Let's just read the story.

Part Two- Good morning Vietnam

Dawson waves good-bye to his parents from the front door. He then walks up stairs to his room, where he sees Pacey and Joey snuggled together, asleep, with the TV on. At first he smiles and starts to laugh, then Dawson thinks about how Joey refuses to sleep over with him, and how she is now bundled in his bed without him, and he getting irritated.

Jen: Do you realize that all of Dawson's friend's has some how slept in Dawson's bed?

Pacey: It's a regular Spielberg motel.

He walks over to turn off the TV and accidentally wakes up Pacey.

Dawson: Whoops! I am so sorry.

"Hay Dawson," Pacey whispers as he raises slightly, "whatcha doing here, thought you'd be gone all weekend."

Pacey: Hay? What is this a barn?

Joey: I think she means hey.

Pacey: Oh, ok. That makes more sense.

"And so you decided to put the moves on our best friend, in my bed?" Dawson teases but Pacey hears the irritation behind it.

Pacey, a little edgy still from the fight the night before, says, "Come on, Dawson. Do you really think I would do something like that?"

Dawson: Yes.

Dawson sighs and says in his normal voice, "No, it was just a shock to see you two here. And for you to be so cozy."

Joey starts to wake-up. She feels Pacey's arms around her and smiles. With her eyes still closed she says, "Mornin' Pacey. So, did we win the war?"

"I thought so, but there seems to be another battle brewing."

Joey wrinkles her brow trying to under that cryptic message, but she still refuses to open her eyes.

Pacey: I don't look that bad in the morning!

About the same time the fact of them having a private joke hits him, Dawson realizes that she is perfectly happy to be waking up in Pacey arms, not his, and that she doesn't even notice him.

Pacey: Sure took him a while.

Dawson says "Good morning Joey, and how was your night. I thought that you would be ready to hang me for leaving Pacey here, but it seems that I was wrong. It looks like you rather enjoyed last night."

Joey sits-up so fast the Pacey almost laughs. "Oh my god, Dawson what are you doing here?"

Dawson is jealous,

Jen: When is he not?

and it shows when he sarcastically replies, "This is my room, last time I checked."

Jen: He only rent's it on weekends.

Joey doesn't think that Dawson has the right to act jealous, "Last time you bothered to check a lot of things were different."

"And what do you mean by that?"

"Don't give me that little lost boy look.

Pacey: Is there any other look? Face it. Dawson is lost most of the time.

You know what I mean. I'm tired of playing second fittle to you."

Jen: I believe it's fiddle not fittle.

Joey had been thinking and came to the conclusion that the only way she can ever move foward was to air out all of the past, once and for all, for better or worse. "I've been in love with you sense the summer my mother died."

Joey: Since not sense.

When Dawson tries to use his lost look, Joey shakes her head and says, "You had to have known, everyone else did.

Jen: Dawson usually is the last to know…

Yet, you just went on with your perfect life as if my feelings would go away. You thought that I would always be here, and good ole' Joey would take all that you dish out. While, I've depended solely on you for so long, that I don't know how to live my life with out you."

Joey: I don't think it would be that difficult.

"Jen and you dating really threw me for a loop. It was the first time I couldn't depend on you to be there. It was the first time I wasn't the center of your attention. Stupid me blamed Jen. I hated her, and you let me, because this way everyone and everything revolved around you. Now that I think about it, you never tried to get Pacey and me to deal with our problems. Is it because you where afraid to lose me, to loss the total control you had over me?"

Dawson: Who am I Hitler?

Joey gets off the bed and puts her shoes on. "Well no more Dawson, no more. I'm not your punching bag, I can stand on my own two feet, and if I can't, I sure wont come back crawling to you." Joey climbs out the window without saying good-bye.

Dawson is still standing infront of the TV, totally shocked.

Jen: In front is two words.

Slowly he turns his head from the window and focuses on Pacey as he begins to talk. "She'll calm down. But in the meantime, are you going to go after her and apologize, even though you have no clues what's wrong, or are you going think about what she meant?"

Jen: Probably sit there and analyze every word….. TO DEATH!

Dawson is mad that Pacey implied that he didn't know what was bothering Joey. He was even more angery that Pacey was right.

Pacey: Angry does not have an e in it. English is my strong suit.

Dawson: No Pacey, English teachers are your strong suit.

"What's it to you, I leave you alone for one day and what happens, you have Joey ready to throw away the last 15 years. What did you do to her?"

Jen: Do to her? It sounds like he broke her like some doll.

"Hey man I'm not the one to blame this time.

Joey: All other times, yes. But not his time.

I just told her the truth, as I see it. All the stuff she said today was her own conclusion. She's right you know, you're a self-centered bastard who's tried, unconsciously, I will give you, to keep all his friends apart. You don't like my spending time with Jen. You never tried to get Joey and me to stop fighting. You want the world to revolve around you. You want to be the one writing the scripts, but it's not working anymore is it? You have to let her go to keep her, and you have to decide how much you want her, because I've stood back for too many years."

"Last night me and Joey talked, and I finally understand why things are they way they are between us and I'm not going to wait for you to make up your mind. I've wanted her for as long as we've know each other, but she has always wanted you. I loved her so much I was willing to try and talk some sense into you.

Jen: Everybody loves Joey. Why doesn't someone love me?

Pacey: That sounds like the title of your life story.

As much good as that did. I'm done waiting. If you don't do something, and very soon. I'm going to stake a claim, and I won't step back when you finally make a decision." With that said Pacey goes out the window and down the latter.

Joey: Ladder not latter. Latter is the second of two things. Ladder is the thing you climb.

Dawson, still standing in front of the TV, looks around wondering if that really happened.

Joey: No Dawson, it was a hallucination.

"what the.." He sighs and turns around to rewind the video. When it gets to the beginning he pushes play by accident and hears, "it's the end of the world as we know it, it's the end of the..."

Dawson turn's of the VCR, shakes his head and says, "it's the end of the world as we know it, and things will never be the same, I definitely don't feel fine."

Jen: I think she means off the VCR not of the VCR.

He falls on the bed, face first, spread eagle.

Pacey: Well, all in all, not too bad.

Dawson: A lot of spelling and grammar mistakes though.

Pacey: Well, we can't all be like you Dawson. With the vocabulary of a 50 year old Harvard English professor.

Dawson shoots Pacey a look but Pacey doesn't catch it.

Joey: I suppose we should find the next part.
