This webring was created for the purpose of bringing together nurses and healthcare professionals, as well as anyone else with an interest in healthcare to provide a resource for health care education and support on the World Wide Web. We are still a small group, but thanks to the support of its members, "The Nurse's Station" is growing quickly, and now has a place in the Top 100 health and medical webrings! Anyone with a genuine interest in healthcare is welcome to join, but there are a few rules that all members of the Ring are expected to abide by.

Your pages MUST include some information about healthcare which can be shared by others in the Ring. This can be in the form of a few articles, essays or nursing links, or your pages can be completely filled with nursing/healthcare information.

Your site cannot have any illegal, offensive, or pornographic material on it. Think about whether or not you would want your children to view your page. If it is not suitable for viewing by all ages, it does not belong in "The Nurse's Station."

The page which you submit to the ring should be the page that has the Ring graphics and HTML fragment on it. An acceptable alternative would be to have a link to your "webrings" page in a conspicuous place on the page submitted. This will allow ease of navigation through all of the sites in the Ring. If I have to search through pages and pages of your site to find the Web HTML fragment, your site will not be added to the ring. I also ask that you update your site information whenever there is a change in your URL --- there is nothing more frustrating in Webring surfing than clicking on the "Next" button and coming upon a site which either does not exist or not being able to find the ring code within the pages so that you can go on to the next site! I check Ring sites periodically for link validity and correct placement of the HTML code, and will remove sites from the Ring which are not in compliance with these guidelines.

While commerical sites are not excluded from this ring, your website should not be SOLELY devoted promoting a commercial product or service.

When you submit your site for ring membership, it will be visited by the Ringmaster. Once your site has been approved for membership, you will receive an e-mail which will contain the HTML code for insertion of the "Nurse's Station" graphics on your designated page. You must place this HTML code on your page before your site will be added to the Ring. You should E-MAIL the Ringmaster once the HTML fragment is in place on your site. Your site will be dropped from the Webring queue if this is not done within 14 days of receiving the HTML fragment. If you are having any difficulty placing the webring code and graphics on your page, please do not hesitate to drop a line and request assistance.
