A few years ago, one of my friends decided to drive - after she had been drinking... the coincidence - 8 of my closest friends are gone and I never go to say "Good-Bye." The pain that I feel is unbearable at times - I wouldn't wish this pain upon my worst enemy. Please, don't allow anyone you love to drink and drive... the guilt you will feel later is worse than anything in this world.

my 6 year old grandson was in an accident.he was riding in the car driven by his mother ,she was drunk. There were no child endangerment charges. this was in aug.99 .dec31,99 she was arrested for dui . she does this all the time. if there was a law making
it manditory for anyone driving with children in the car and drinking to be charged with child endangerment these people might at least leave the children with who ever and get a cab home.my daughter-in-law states, a real woman can handle it when asked to
leave the children at her mom's because she's been drinking. the child endangerment law would also get hrs involved and teach the kids to call for help when they are put in danger.something to stop these people who think "not me" all drinking drivers are
loaded weapons" I think any driver drinking should be charged with somekind of person endangerment. I just don;t know how but I've got to get this started. Our town charges child endangerment for careless driving but it seems no one has it for dui. thanks

My mother was killed by a drunk driver on July 6
1994, by a serious repeat offender. The offender
was in court on a previous DWI arrest only hours
before she killed my mother. I was 4 months pregnant with my first child when my mom was killed. I am still so angry today, because the courts in Alaska do not take drunk drivers seriously. It angers me everyday that I read the
papers and see how many DWI offenders get off with
a slap on the wrist. I miss my mom everday of my
life. My son is now 4 and all he has are my memories and pictures, and he knows that Grandma
Patsy is in Heaven. But he really doesn't understand, neither do I.
