I have only been diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis about 8mts. I still have trouble dealing with it. I have always been so active and now all I wont or can to do is lay around and sleep, I have no energy or the willpower to even get up in the morning. I can cry at the drop of the hat. Nothing seems to h lp. The doctors don't have a clear idea on how to help either.I don't talk to my doctor it is always through his nurce. Saw your e-mail do you live in Hot springs Village, Ar. If so I was just there last weenend for a bridge tournament.

So many people that I talk to have problems with this disease. Why? A disease is a state of imbalance in the human body. When you learn to balance your feelings, emotions, diet, and body the results are amazing. There is no cure to be found in the hospita s here. Why do people still go to them to find a cure for Crohne's and Colitis. I am willing to share my personal story of how the hospitals made me sick and how I made myself better. True health can only be made by the person who is sick. You got yoursel sick so why can't you get yourself better. It takes alot of support and it is not easy. This was the first time on this web site...though I am always in the alt. support crohns-colitis news group.... I have had the "D' since I was 16 on and off again...but last April I was so bad and lost so much weight (weighed 84 lbs) that I had a colonosc py and it was ruled CC...I am doing fairly well though could be better...up to 100 lbs..on 10 mg Prednisone...every time they take me off i am back to living in the bathroom...though i still visit it about 5 times a day or whenever i eat...I love e-mail.. it keeps me out of the chat rooms...not working as the CC was so unpredictable on me that if I didn't quit ...I could of been fired due to taking off..

I just got my computer going in November and feel like I found heaven. I'm frequently house bound with illnesses and complications, so the net has given me the chance to visit people, places and things comfortably. I've had crohns disease since I was seven years old. I have been diagnosed with Collagenous Colitis as of Sept.1998 thru a colonoscopy with biopsies. I was in the hospital at the time (for 8 days) with severe uncontrollable diarrhea. I have since stopped the diarrhea so now feel perhaps it was a parasite undetermined by stool samples). It has been about 3 1/2 weeks since it stopped. I do take Sulfazaladine 1000 mg. twice a day and drink lots of green tea (also take 2 flax seed oil capsules a day per my Gastro doctor). Previously I was living on Imodi m as well. Marilyn, I enjoyed your page very much!! I was diagnosed w/ ulcerative colitis in Nov. 96. Currently back on predisone because of a flare and still on asacol. This is really a terrible disease!! We don't have a support group here in Port Charlotte, Florida. (Small town) I wish I could have been there for the IBD fest. It sounded like a lot of fun!! Well take care!!

I'm so very glad to finally find something about Crohn's. Sometimes I wondered. Only one thing my last Dr. got right. That I'd be suprised to find out how many people have CD or UC. Had surgery 5\95 and so far so good. NO MEDS.! Even had a baby after tr ing for 6 years. That last Dr. wasn't really hopeful about that. My baby is healthy. THANX!!=)=)
