THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING HONEST, A LESSON TO BE LEARNED

Hello!!!!

For those of you visiting for the first time welcome and for my returning guest glad to have you back. I am constantly discovering that by living life I learn something new each day, it only requires me to be open to the moment. Sometimes the lessons learned are about the world at large, people or simply a new awakening about myself. When I originally envisioned the creation of this site I thought it would be an easy creative outlet for an introvert longing to let out the extrovert. I still believe this to be true, however what I have discovered in the past month is that my need to be expressive by sharing my view of the world and some of my life experiences is easier said than done. Often when I sit down to update this site or to just hash through a new topic I find myself pausing. The pause comes from a need to be mindful of the potential target audience that this site may reach out to. The World Wide Web, information highway represents a pretty unique and savvy society indicative of the technological time we live in today. It is a society capable of discerning the truth from hypocrisy. It would truly be disingenuous of me if I failed to take into consideration this reality about the target audience. It is easy to have a desire to do good things and to have a willingness to help others, but I also believe it is important to pursue such goals with honesty and integrity. As I voice my opinions about my perception of the world at large through my stories and prose I strive to pass on some of the lessons I have learned. But I also seek to not come across as preachy, judgmental, condescending or know it all. I am not a professional in the mental health field and my thoughts and opinions about the world and being a part of the world are based on day to day ups and downs. I frequently asked myself what right do I have to voice an opinion about anything, a simple answer often echoes back at me, "because." Do not get me wrong as simple as this answer is, it is also a reflection of my truth and at the same time it is not meant to diminish my responsibility to the target audience. So when I say envisioning a creative outlet is easier said than done, I am also saying that creativity comes with a great deal of responsibility to others that I seek to reach. Only you the individual will know if anything I write has an echo of truth to it and that is the reason I encourage feedback both good, bad and indifferent. I am always seeking to preserve the integrity of this developing site and for those of you wondering about the purpose of today's update this is simply an example of a lesson learned about good intent based on day to day living. A website is like the message in the bottle there is potential for a rippling effect, but without honesty there is no integrity in the message……………………………Fujicat
