Civil War Stories
Heth Story
On the first day of the battle of Gettysburg, something weird happened to Henry Heth (CSA). General Heth had recieved a new hat to wear but it was to large for him. His solution to this problem was to stuff paper in his hat to keep it on his head. When he had a Yankee bullet coming to his head, he lived. Though his skull cracked and he was unconcious for a day and a night, the paper he stuffed in his hat proteced him from death.
Beauregard's Hair
Some studiers of General Beauregard have realized some changes in General P.G.T. Beauregard's(CSA) hair. It became grayer during the Civil War. Some think it may be because of stress during the war. But I read that some expert scholars think that it was because he didn't recieve his hair die because of the Yankee Naval Blockade!
