Thank you for sharing with others your experiences. One of my children (Nick, 6) has ACC and some development problems. Although ACC (in his case dysgenesis) was not found to be his main problem, is one of the possible causes. And I am just finding out mo e about the whole thing. Thanks again. I have identical twin girls (3 in December) A second MRI showed dysgenesis of the corpus callosum and white matter volume loss. I'd like to know if Julie's MRI told anything of white matter? Since just learning this, I enjoyed stumbling across this web p ge and I'm sure that was your intention-to help. Great Job!! My girls have improved as well-just very slowly. How lucky we are- not to miss a thing. God Bless You All! Also, I'm curious- the geneticist said this is not a diagnosis in itself but sever l people on the Internet are saying it is-any thoughts??

My 6½ year-old nephew, Shane, was recently diagnosed with partial ACC. My sister has her hands full with trying to get him to speech therapy as well as trying to learn what other programs might benefit him -- plus she has a 6-month-old boy, Dylan, to car for as well. They live in Keller, TX (@ 20 miles NE of downtown Fort Worth) and my husband and I live in Edmond, OK. Although we are not able to offer as much help as we would like because of the distance between us (@ 3 hour drive), I was able to find so much information on the Internet. I was touched by your homepage and Julie is such a cutie pie! Everyone in my family wants to learn as much as possible about ACC and wants to help my sister and brother-in-law work with Shane to help him accomplish a l he can. Fortunately, he does not appear to be affected by some of the other conditions that sometimes accompany ACC and so he is probably at the more positive side of the spectrum for this condition. I want to thank you for taking the time to create a place to learn more and to see a caring and loving family who has also been touched by ACC!
