A short describtion of Bulimia, Anorexia and Compulsive Overeating

Nowadays, when every second woman already kept a diet, an eating disorder is not seldom anymore.
But the wish to be slim is not the only reason for developing an eating disorder. One of the reasons can be every kind of abuse.
Most of the people affected feel like having no control over their lives anymore. They think the only way to get it back is to starve or make themselves sick.

The eating disorders can be devided in three main types:

Anorexia
Bulimia
and Compulsive Overeating

ANOREXIA:

The people affected refuse to eat, so that they are at least 15% below their normal weight.
Normal weight means the weight which is the average for the person' s height and age.

BUIMIA:

For this kind of ED regular binge eating and purging is typical.
Purging can be self induced vomiting, taking laxatives, iuretics or excessive exercise.
The weight stays mostly in the normal area.

COMPULSIVE OVEREATING:

The persons affected are mostley 20% above their normal weight, which is caused by regular binge eating.

There are also different other forms of EDs for example: " Bulimarexia".
In this case the sufferers are 15% below there normal weight, but they also do binge eating and purge afterwards not to gain any weight.
