It Was Such A Pain, When It (WEDDING) All Ended. Almost All of Us, Ended Up Having To Take Pain-Killers!! We All Ended Up With Severe Jaw-Aches, From Laughing TOOOOOOOOO MUCH :)) Browse the following moments, and u'll get a feel of it too (even if not, with the same intensity).......

Aboard Bharuch bound, Rajkot-express on 17th Jan, Sneha/Satwika on upper berth.

(18th Jan)‘Pellivaaramandi, Aaada-pellivaaramandi..’ . Great-helpers arrive with great luggage

Receiving us at the entrance, with a great smile is the great hostess……

Needless to say, was the great food to appease our great appetite…………

The morning of 19th Jan, as we got ready to attend the ‘tikka-ceremony’ at groom’s place.

we were all ready by 5:30 A.M. thanks to RamBoss’s shunting…

The bus alas, didn’t arrive until after 6:30 A.M. A very tense bavagaru on phone.

In the wake of this delay, the girls seemed to’ve received some private-Akshintalu, as reliable sources observed ;)

The tikka-ceremony at Ahmedabad. Enroute, the most elusive place to find, seemed to be the ‘Saini-Bagh Hanuman Temple’.. Thanks to Sai’s untiring spontaneity/sense-of-humor, the bus roared with laughter, all the way there…..

Exchange of rings; Shalu almost got a zillion dresses in wedding from in-laws! This day she got more than 25. Li’l wonder that she’s happy as Happy Could Be!!

“Man of the Day’, as he was aptly called, Sai, as doting-father…

For some reason(!?), we were forced into seeing this ISKON temple, in a ‘nobody-wants-to see-it’ position (as we returned to Bharuch, after a sumptuous lunch at an excellent restaurant)

20th Jan: The swing (for the bride to sit on, for pellikuturni-cheyyatam ceremony), in its many stages of decorative-evolution…

21st Jan : Mehndi-hai rachne wali, hathon mein gehri laali…

This evening, Sneha thrilled the guests with her dance…

Not just well-dressed, we also had a grand gala time, dancing and getting coached to dance, under the efficient tutelage of Bamby/Shalu.

Big Bamby, small Bamby….

22nd Jan: ‘Pellikuturni-Cheyyatam-Ceremony’. Pellikuturu/thoti-pellikuturus getting aarti/piti (the turmeric/chandan/rosewater mixture)/disti taken away….

Beautiful ladies bless the girls, in sheer elegance!

Before they took their ceremonious, mangal-snan (not seen in the pic is Satwika, the other thoti-pellikuturu)

In all Smiles, got set and ready…

The swing in full-swing! (this is how the ultimate-decorated-swing looked like).

Ladies busily acting or ‘acting busily’??

Gifts galore: as we formally present the, much-appreciated rubies-set…

On a day, where everything seemed rosy, the bride/mom in rose-pink!

Attetion to every detail was given by the hosts. A very well painted front walls of their house, for shaadi-decoration….

“Mehndi Lagake Rakhna Doli Sajake Rakhna, Lene Tujhe O Gori Aayenge Tere Sajnaa” that’s exactly, what Shalu seems to be doing, waiting for Varun….

There’s no doubt, dancing gracefully with friends, Shalu certainly looked gorgeous in this outfit.

Another thing that felt beyond question was, “who ever bought that dress, bought her rubies, decorated the swing,…etc., etc., is certainly an individual with great-taste”

Men in swing…

Pretty women, sitting on the stairs…

22nd Jan, Garbaa night: Delectably dazzling damsels in delightfully different dress-ups !

Thanks to Parul, we managed to look chic in Gujju-styled saris!

Ram-Boss with Family/Chunni (?!)

‘Best looking family’ as was unanimously awarded that evening , this family needs no introduction….

Shreya’s newly acquired boy-friend??

It was immense Pleasure, Seeing, Being and Doing what they called was ‘Garbaaaaa’….

23rd Jan: Morning, ritualistic opening-ceremony of the wedding-day.

Hostess, supervising one of the lunch sessions..

Kids, having a whale-of-time…

This is where we indulged in various culinary explorations. PaavBhaaji,Sev-Tamato, Vundhia, Khadi-pakoda, Dhokla, .. were just to name a few. What you cant feel/see from these photos is: “sandu choosi chaka chaka aade jooda Sikhaamanuluu uu uu; pandirantaa Ghuma Ghumalaade vindu suvaasanaluu…”

23rd Jan. Evening: The venue for the BIG MOMENT..

gracefully gracing the occasion..

At the entrance, for the reception of the Baraath..

‘Tama, niga-niga nagalanu, paduguri yeduruga, idigidugo ani choopeduthu; tega tirigedi tarunula tikamaka parugulu !!?

champalo viraboose ammaayi siggujantaralu

aa sompulaku eravese abbaayi choopu tondaralu..

A Very HAPPY bride’s-mom very POISED.

The Lotus-flower shaped butta, so meticulously detailed for the bride (not captured in the photos was a very gorgeous ‘pallaki’ that brought the bride to mandapam, for Jay-Mala ceremony).

Gauri-Pooja

Looking like ‘Lakshmi Devi in Lotus, worshipping Gauri Devi’…

Warming up, for the big-job?? (Ram-Boss, the only mena-mama at the wedding, that happened to be there)

Using, the energy gained while warming-up…

Kanya-dana Shubha Muhurtam….

“cherisagamavamani manasulu kaluputu tera terichina tarunam..’

very intricate artistry of the florally-woven roof of the pandiri ‘aakaasam digi vacchi mabbuluto vesindaa ee pandiri(??)’; 'oorantaa cheppukunE mucchatagaa jarigindi pellante mari'

'Andamaina vennela lona, achcha Telugu paduchu vale, malle-poola pandiri loki, nadachi vachenu sarigama-laaa....' ; As Shalu arrived in white-madhuparkam, looking fantastic, Mother-in-law couldn’t help but hug in delight! (Bonding with ‘Humari-Beti’ diologue)…

“idi varakeragani varasalu kaluputu murisina bandhujanam”

“vinna vaarevarasalu sannaayi vaari sangatulu; sanna sannagaa rusarusalu, vinta-bandhula visavisalu”???

Not the least, the Bride/Groom.

25th Jan: Enroute A’bad for reception from Groom’s-family..

2 Too Over-Worked Heads, in a Brief-Arrest, a Bout Of Rest! Or Is it, Their Brains in a Head-on Discussion/Planning For the Next-Celebrations (Bamby's Wedding)(??!!).......

Rest Assured, there seemed to be enough 'Kabab Mein Haddis' to take care of the Bride/Groom :) Hence the Rest of Us Slept Restfully, The Rest of The Night.....
