Arizona Tribute
What a wonderful sight, these desert sentinels.
I've lived in a few places in my lifetime (mostly in upstate NY) but
my heart remains in Arizona. I'm back in Arizona now. Sierra Vista to be exact.
Things have changed alot.
More buildings,people and golf- coarses and
a dozen or so new shopping malls.
Fewer open
spaces and desert habitat.
But I'm happy to be here with what is left of the desert.
The sky is crystal clear at night and you can see a canopy of stars.
There is silence which is only disturbed by an ocassional coyote cry.
Eerie shadows appear on moonlit nights.
You feel more in touch with your spirit.
World issues and troubles become distant.
It is You, The Desert and God.
