Introduction
Young Family Network

Our Mission is to help families and professionals work together as full partners, so that they can improve the systems of care &emdash; at both the local and state levels &emdash; for children who have a mental disorder.

These pages are for use by both families and professionals.

However, we are here to help families with children from birth to age 18 who have a mental disorder, and families with older children who are transitioning into adult programs. We will give priority to resolving issues that they identify.

Here is the content of this part of our web site:

Tips:advocacy tips for use with current issues.

Chat Room:A conference room where people can discuss a topic of mutual interest on a prescheduled basis.

Plans:what the steering committee and work groups are working on.

Publications:On-line publications that our work groups prepare and links to those available from other organizations.

Events: Training opportunities that may interest families &emdash; from any source.

Membership Application: Join our network. It is open to anyone who supports our mission. It is free! You do not have to be a member of NAMI to be a member of this network.

Forum:A place where people around Alaska can post messages on topics of concern and respond to other peoples thoughts.
