    Six Weeks From Sabotage to Success Workshop Series

    Thursday's from 7:30-9 p.m.
    Mariposa Women's Center
    812 Town & Country Rd.
    Orange CA
    $10 per session

    • Week One:
      Awareness is the First Step Toward Change.

      Learn to identify forms of sabotage and different levels of awareness in the change process. Become aware of the thoughts/feelings that lead to undesirable results. Learn to use self-awareness as a guide for what needs to be changed in your life. Learn to work on the underlying causes of your self-defeating behavior and heighten your chances of permanent change.

    • Week Two:
      What You Say Is What You Get.

      Learn about beliefs that could be standing in your way of success and how you can change them. Learn the importance of positive self-talk and how to create new beliefs and a new reality with the use of positive affirmations. Learn how to change self-defeating self-talk. Learn about self-fulfilling prophecies and how to talk to yourself so that you get the results you want out of life.

    • Week Three:
      See it, Believe it, Make it Real.

      This fun, experiential workshop will help participants transform negative self-images. We will discuss treasure maps, self-fulfilling scrapbooks and future diaries.

    • Week Four:
      Success Breeds Success.

      Set yourself up for success by setting small, manageable goals and acknowledging all the baby steps towards change.

    • Week Five:
      Stop Settling and Start Living.

      Learn about the benefits of breaking out of your comfort zone. Stop simply existing and begin living fully by acknowledging and acting on your talents, skills and interests.

    • Week Six:
      Quitting is the Only Way to Fail.

      Learn the role of patience and persistence in success. Learn how to stay motivated and use techniques that will enable your desired behaviors to become automatic.

    How to Write and Publish Your First Book

    How many times have you said, "I've always wanted to write a book"? Now's the time to stop saying it and start doing something about it. In this one day workshop, you'll learn:

    • How to start writing and stay on track
    • How to write on a busy schedule
    • How to structure and organize your manuscript
    • How to generate ideas when you're hit with "Writer's Block"
    • How to overcome fears of success, failure and rejection
    • What resources you'll need to get your book published
    • How to "get the word out" about your book using pamphlets, booklets, newsletters, web sites and articles
    • Bring a pen and paper and be prepared to sketch out your query letter and table of contents. Don't worry, you're ready! Join us for a comfortable, creative, fun afternoon where you can start the process. Stop saying "I wish I could write a book" and get ready for the beginning of an exciting and fulfilling journey toward becoming a published author.

      Cost is $50
