SKHM

A Wonderful Experience

I am lucky enough to be studying with Patrick Zeigler and twelve other students for the next year. We are exploring and bringing more form to SKHM as well as growing by leaps and bounds. I am also teaching a wonderful group of twelve the stuff I'm learning from Patrick. I can't begin to tell you how blessed I feel.

SKHM is a wonderful energy, and it's an energy that I have a difficult time describing to people. It feels very different from Reiki in that I get camphor heat, my hands are cold but the burning heat is undeniable, and I also get a lot of tingling sensations or a vibratory feeling in my hands. It's deeply loving. When I experience it, that is what I feel, a deep love for all that is.

People are always asking me what the difference is between Reiki and SKHM. I feel that this is a difficult question to answer, because they both are of the Source. If I have to pinpoint anything, I feel it works deeply upon the emotional/Spirit level. I have gone through deep emotional cleansings with this energy, and with each hurdle I tackle I always realize how much closer to Spirit I have walked through this energy.

Is it better than Reiki? This is another question asked me, and no it is not. These two energies can't be compared. They both come from Source, and they are both incredible, both work well together and on many levels.

Many SKHM systems say that you have to be initiated into Reiki first before SKHM. I don't believe in that to be honest with you. For some people, Reiki just doesn't resonate with them, so I'm not going to deny them SKHM because of that. It is possible to work with the SKHM energy without a Reiki attunement. However, if one wishes to try many of the other Seichim/Seichem/Sekhmet/SKHM energies out there, you usually do have to go through a Reiki attunement, at least to the Second Degree.

There are many different forms of SKHM out there, just like Reiki. Most of them use Reiki symbols with their SKHM symbols. I again, personally, prefer to just let the energy flow. I do use the Infinity quite a bit and a pyramid....(For more info on what I think of symbols, see the link below.) You can work with it just like Reiki, using the hand placements or sending it to someone.

I have found more freedom working with this energy though. I think it's because I haven't heard as many "no's" regarding this energy as I have from my first two Reiki Masters. I love opening myself to this energy, and seeing what it has to teach me, what new ways it would like me to work with it. I have guided clients through movement work with this energy very successfully, toning and overtoning to it....Patrick recommends massaging in the Infinity pattern, and all of my clients have loved that. The movement and toning aspects have been taught to me by Patrick.

Another question asked me a lot is can Reiki and SKHM flow together at the same time. Yes, they can if that is what the client needs. That's what it all comes down to, what the client needs. I just trust the energy and let it flow. Sometimes I only feel Reiki, sometimes only SKHM, and other times the both of them. Whatever the client needs, the energy will flow.
