I made it. I just started reading everything. It will take me awhile as I am a slow reader. I have a web page but it is very amateurish. I don't know how to do all the downloading stuff and also my computer is running out of memory. I will be upgradi g as soon as I can come up with $800. They tell me along with my rheumatoid I have a touch of lupus. I got insecticided poisoning 11years ago which through me into these diseases. I was in remission for 8 yrs with gold injections. They because hazardous to my health because of life threate ing hives. 3 years ago I lost my mom and at the same time was taken off gold. It has taken me all this time to find the right medication to work. I have had them all. I am now on a new drug called Arava + predisone + ibuprofen + estrogen. The combina ion seems to be working and I am going back into remission but not before there is damage to my cartlege in both knees. I have been order to lose weight. When you can't excercise this is hard. I am on a 50gm a day charbohydrate diet and have lost 35 lbs. It has taken eight months. I hope I can take off another 40 by next year. I feel physically stronger everyday. Tha ks to God who provided a woman who suggested the rheumtoid center at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque. With the grace of God and my friends prayers. I hope to be back at least 80% before the year ends. Up until three months ago I was unable to type as long as I am doing today. This is my little miracle. I have been experience little miracles a lot in the last year. I am so grateful. Please write. I would love to have another pen pal. Love Karen
