Thank you! I don't really know why I am thanking you but reading these things you have on here has made me think twice about cutting myself. I have only been cutting myself for aobut a year and a half and then I recently met someone that has made me look at life differently and I haven't cut myself for about 3 weeks. Which is really good becuz usually I cut myself 3 to 4 times a week. I have been so depressed for the last 3 years and even though I have people that I can talk to and friends that I sometimes do talk to, nothing helps my pain better than cutting myself! I always tell myself that if I'm going to feel emotional pain than I might as well feel physical pain to. I have been thinking about telling my parents even though I haven't done it in awhile becuz I wanna get the right help and make sure I'm done for sure but I just don't wanna dissapoint them!!

I have also been a self injurer before. It can be really hard when no one understands. It gets even harder than that when counsalers and friends try to pull it out from you. That was my problem. I wasn't abused as a child, but about a year ago I just tarted. I guess I was just under a lot of stress. But I'm really glad that I found this page and found out that I do acctually relate to the people who have written it. I'm also glad to find that there are people who understan. I guess what I wanted t say was just thank you.

I myself have and still do suffer from SI and it is hard sometimes to even get through one day. I can identify with everyone talked about on this website. I truly believe there is a reason we have/are experienced/experiencing this -- possibly to learn s mething new about ourselves or to be a support for someone else out there suffering from this. Jesus already bleed His body for you, you do not need to do it anymore. The pain for depression, sin, was all paid for on the cross. Joy is to be found in Christ. Any pain that is unnessesary after coming to know Christ is from the devil. You are God's ch ld. Just don't pick up the razor next time, instead pray and let God take it away. It works.
