Mustache Book: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at America's Favorite Advertising Campaign

Give A MasterpieceThe Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia, is a non-profit orgainization housing one of the most important glass collections in the western hemisphere. The collection is broad in scope, with objects ranging in date from antiquity to the present, including a large collection from Louis Comfort Tiffany. Objects are organized chronologically and grouped by maker or national origin in an innovative and dramatic display that fills ten galleries.

Museum membership and patronage of the Museum Shop help to provide the Chrysler with the means to bring exhibitions and events of the finest caliber to the people of Hampton Roads. Being a non-profit entity, it must strive to generate funding in unconventional ways. One of these is the idea of increasing the revenue stream from it's gift shop during the holiday season. The Museum Shop takes pride in offering pieces that are unique. The thought was to redirect consumer traffic and target holiday expenditures toward the Chrysler at an opportune time and to promote the purchase of a Museum membership as a holiday gift as well.Given the unique offerings and presence the museum had to offer, the advertising campaign shown here was created.
