The trip to Ayres rock was done in the  end of the wet season (Febuary 2000). I drove the CORDOBA threw the center of Australia, completing a round trip clocking up approx 9500km within 3 weeks. Temperatures at the center ranged from 42 to 55 deg Celc. Tho humidity was quite low. Speeds of upto 150km/hr at 4000rpm in 5th gear at these temperatures had no effect on my SEAT............... It purred like a cat all the way. One major thing that I noticed after driving all day and comming into a country town, was the low loud rumble produced from the muffler....(pure rally car I thought)... (The muffler is more effective than ever now!).
