Trust 3" down pipe, HPC coated

This is a work of art! The right hand drive car requires a complex head on the down pipe, it has to curve around the steering shaft. To do this Trust have welded two molded plates together as the head, it bulbs out so as to keep the same volume as it passes the steering shaft, it then joins to a 3" pipe (inside diameter). The whole assembly is half the weight of the original cast 2 1/4" pipe.

There is no way to put heat shields on the new down pipe, so I made the decision to keep temperatures as low as possible, and ceramic coat the entire down pipe. The HPC coating with black external paint and a white interior coating, looks a million dollars (only cost $150). I am guessing that this has significantly reduced under bonnet temperatures.
